Lucky..?

My family isn’t close together in fact my mom had a toxic relationship for 8 years with an old man who basically wanted her the moment she stepped into the USA.. but after that was the pure innocence I had after this. We were living with my grandparents. We didn’t have anything and they didn’t give us Anything either. All I remember us having was some clothes we took from DR and the air mattress they gave us. My mom worked and all we ate was romen from those Styrofoam cups and take out. Honestly that was my best memories even then at four I knew we were homeless. But that’s not my deepest memory.

My deepest memory was with her first relationship in the USA. A man.. a very abusing man he had used to fight with my mother. It was a really small apartment so I had heard everything.. from curses to slaps and sex. I have a very clear memory of them having sex with me in the room, they thought I was asleep. I wasn’t and cried that night but that was my first time hearing it out of all the nights Ive have heard it. After him it was an old man who we moved in with
