Nova
The night is upon them. The street lights are flickering and the sound of the rain drains out most noises, making it seem almost silent. Pitter patter, on her hood. Step after step, ends of her bangs whisking away from her chin. She arrives at the door, hesitantly holding the key, deciding if she should go inside, or just leave. The key shakes in her hand, and she takes a breath. She slides the key into the lock of the door, and twists it, while also twisting the knob of the door. As the door slowly creaks open, it reveals a dark room. She flips the switch of the light, and it flickers on, revealing the slightly tidy and clean space that she had. Lights flicker as the mist unfolds into the room. She looked over at her cat, seeing the sparkle in his eyes as his small form watched her.
“Hey buddy” She said, patting him on the head as he purred right against it. "Awww how cute" She chuckled, scratching him on his soft, black head by his ears, his favorite spot. She felt a vibration coming from her pocket, it was her phone. As she picked it up she looked at the spot where the caller id, would have been, but it showed, unknown caller id, she was hesitant to answer but she did, her body was tense, but then she heard it, her eyes widened in shock and fear. The person spoke, "Hey sweetheart" She hung up, and even threw the phone across the room. Her breathing got heavier, as fear crawled up the back of her spine. Her chest felt weight it hadn't in a long time, that weight that eventually faded, was now back, coming to taunt her.
