Chapter 1
I've always had a strong connection with nature. Then I realized how strong a connection it really was. It all started in elementary school. This boy was aggravating me and I just snapped. I wasn't gonna hit him. I just wanted to spook him a little. But before I knew it something shot out of my hand. It was a thick vine.
The vine wrapped around the boy and he gasped. I let go of my fist and the vine let go of the boy. I flinched my index finger and the vine retracted. "E-E-Eli?" I turned around. My brown hair whipped my face and I had to blow it away. I'm decently sure I looked like a complete idiot doing that in such a serious moment but I didnt care. My friend Lills was behind me. "Youre an MB." The boy said as he pionted a shaky finger at me. If you didnt already know an MB is an acronym. It stands for "magical being."
Being an MB growing up was hard. At school kids would always ask me to show off my power and I would. Reluctantly of course. I didnt like being an MB for one reason and one reason only UMB. UMB is a boarding school in japan that every MB goes to. If you haven't guessed already UMB stands for university for magical beings. Its a college/high school. You start freshmen year and stay for college. I did not want to go.
When high school rolled around I packed up my bags and went on a loooooooong plane ride. As I stood in front of the blue doors of UMB, Bag in hand, ready to start my first year I thought to myself. "I know I'm ready for what's coming!" If only I had known what was coming.
