Chapter 1: The child of balance
The night Juandri was born, the world changed.
A violent storm rolled across the Northern Mountains, shaking the forests and rattling the ancient stones of the wolf pack’s stronghold.
Lightning flashed across the sky.
Thunder followed like the roar of ancient beasts.
Inside the Alpha’s house, every wolf in the pack waited anxiously outside.
Ryker paced back and forth.
“This storm isn’t normal,” he muttered.
Alaric crossed his arms. “You think we hadn’t noticed?”
The wind howled harder against the wooden walls.
Deep inside the house, Nicci cried out as another wave of pain struck her.
Jandre held her hand tightly.
“You’re doing amazing,” he whispered.
Seraphine stood nearby, her hands glowing softly with protective magic.
“The Balance is reacting,” she said quietly.
Jandre looked at her sharply. “What does that mean?”
The witch hesitated.
“It means this child is more powerful than we expected.”
Nicci breathed deeply, gathering strength.
Another flash of lightning lit up the room.
Then—
Everything went silent.
Even the storm outside paused.
The Heart of Balance far away in the ancient temple suddenly pulsed with blinding light.
Across the world, dragons lifted their heads toward the sky.
Witches felt the shift in the magic currents.
Even the vampires sensed it in the air.
A new power had entered the world.
Then—
Juandri was born.
For a moment, there was only silence.
Then the baby opened her eyes.
They glowed softly.
Not one color.
But four.
Silver.
Gold.
Violet.
Emerald.
Seraphine gasped softly.
“The prophecy…”
Jandre stared at his daughter in disbelief.
Nicci held the baby against her chest, tears of relief running down her face.
“She’s beautiful.”
Juandri suddenly lifted her tiny hand.
A small orb of Balance energy formed above her palm.
The room filled with soft glowing light.
Jandre laughed in amazement.

“Well… that’s new.”
But far away—
Deep within the Dark Realm—
Valtheris stood before a massive army of shadow creatures.
He slowly turned toward the portal that showed the mortal world.
His red eyes narrowed.
“The heir has arrived.”
A cruel smile spread across his face.
“Good.”
The shadows around him began to grow stronger.
“Now the real war begins.”
