Book 1: The alpha king's mate

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

In the peaceful forests of Moonridge Pack, life moves to the rhythm of the moon, the bond of family, and the strength of loyalty. At the center of it all stands Alpha Rowan Nightvale, a respected leader known for his calm strength, unwavering loyalty to his wolves, and the quiet authority that keeps his pack united. For years Rowan has ruled alone, waiting for the one thing fate has never given him—his true mate. Elara Vale has always lived among the Moonridge wolves as the pack’s gentle healer. Kind-hearted and devoted to caring for others, she never imagined that her life would change with a single moment… or that the powerful Alpha she has known for years would suddenly look at her differently. Everything changes during a full moon gathering when Rowan catches a scent that makes his wolf surge to life. Mate. What follows is not a story of war or enemies, but one of love, trust, and destiny. As Rowan and Elara grow closer, they must learn how to balance their deepening bond with the responsibilities of becoming Alpha and Luna together. Through quiet nights beneath the moon, teasing pack members, shared duties, and ancient pack traditions, their connection grows stronger until the time comes for the Sacred Mate Bonding—a ritual where they mark each other and complete the bond that ties their souls forever. But becoming Luna means more than loving the Alpha. Elara must step into a role that places the future of the pack in her hands, while Rowan learns that true strength isn’t just about leading—it’s about allowing someone to stand beside him. In a pack where loyalty runs deeper than blood and the moon witnesses every promise, two destined souls will discover that the greatest power of all is love.

Chapter 1

Rowan’s legs moved on their own, carrying him down the hallway before he could even think. Each step brought him closer to her, closer to the living thread that pulled at every part of his being. His wolf throbbed in his chest, claws raking at his heart, demanding, claim her.

Elara froze for a heartbeat as he approached, her basket of herbs forgotten at her side. Her eyes widened, soft green shimmering with the warm light of the hallway… and something else. Recognition. Wonder. Something primal that made Rowan’s chest tighten even further.

“M—Master Alpha,” she breathed, voice barely above a whisper, though the words were unnecessary. She didn’t need to say anything. Her scent, her presence, the subtle rise and fall of her chest as she held her breath—it told him everything.

Rowan stopped just a foot away. His wolf pressed against his ribs, body and mind roaring with need. Mine. Now. His hands twitched, the silver energy beneath his skin humming faintly in response to the pull between them.

“Elara,” he said, voice low, deep, rough with something he hadn’t felt before. Something that was both awe and possession, reverence and hunger. “You’ve been here… all this time.”

Her lips parted slightly. “I—I didn’t know…”

“You didn’t know?” His laugh was soft, almost a growl. “How could you not know? The Moon Goddess doesn’t make mistakes. She waited for you to be ready… and for me to see you.”

Her breath caught, and Rowan took the final step forward. He reached out, fingertips brushing a strand of silver-blonde hair that had fallen across her shoulder. His wolf purred inside him at the contact. Mine.

Elara’s green eyes met his, steady now, unafraid, yet full of something raw, something awakening. She didn’t pull away. She couldn’t. Her own wolf stirred, responding to his, echoing the same need, the same certainty.

“Rowan,” she whispered, voice trembling slightly, “is this… real?”

“Yes,” he said simply, voice deep and steady. “It’s real. And you… you are mine. As I am yours.”

The world around them seemed to tilt. The sounds of the packhouse faded. The warm lights blurred into a halo around her. Every instinct, every heartbeat, every surge of silver energy in his chest was focused on her, and he knew, with absolute clarity, that this was the moment his wolf had been waiting for all his life.

Rowan leaned forward slowly, giving her time, giving her choice—but in the depths of her eyes, he saw the answer. A soft, sure gleam. Her wolf’s growl matched his, low and certain.

And when he closed the distance, their lips met in a kiss that was gentle at first, tentative, tasting the wonder of discovery… and then fierce, claiming, binding. Silver light pulsed faintly beneath his skin, a quiet echo of the Moon Goddess herself, as if the heavens themselves had witnessed the union of mate and Alpha.

When they finally parted, breathless and trembling, Rowan rested his forehead against hers. His hands cupped her face, thumbs brushing along her cheekbones, memorizing every line, every curve.

“Welcome home, Elara,” he murmured.

“Home,” she repeated, voice soft but steady, letting the word settle into her bones.

The Moonridge Pack’s Alpha had finally found his Luna. And nothing in the world—no storm, no shadow, no ancient power—would ever take her from him again.

Vampire: Great story. Clear plot line and very interesting. Characters are lovely and well made. Amazing writing skills and grammar. Only thing that was a little bit too much is the repetition but I guess it's a writing style? Anyways I love it definitely recommend it!
