Chapter 1: The Mysterious MapThe sun was setting over the small village of Willow Creek when Liana Hart finished gathering herbs from the forest. The evening breeze rustled through the trees as she made her way home.
Her cottage stood at the edge of the village, quiet and lonely since her mother’s death three years earlier.
As Liana entered the house, she noticed something unusual. A wooden box sat on the table.
“I don’t remember leaving that there,” she whispered.
Curious, she opened it.
Inside lay a golden pendant and a rolled piece of parchment.
Her hands trembled as she unfolded the parchment.
It was a map.
At the top, written in fading ink, were the words:
“The Kingdom of Avelora Awaits Its True Heir.”
A sudden gust of wind burst through the room, extinguishing every candle.
The pendant around her neck began to glow.
And somewhere far beyond the mountains, an ancient power awakened.
