🌙 Chapter 1 – A Dream Beyond the Horizon
“This night… this very night changed my entire life.”
I stood on the terrace, staring at the moonlit sky. A soft breeze touched my face, and I smiled quietly to myself.
But before I tell you why this night is special, you should know about me.
My name is Anika. I come from a middle-class family in India. Since childhood, I had only one dream—to pursue my Master’s degree in South Korea.
Dreams are beautiful… but never easy.
My family consists of my parents, my older brother, and my grandmother. We live in a small house. My parents are farmers who struggled their whole life for our future. My brother works in a small company and supports us as much as he can.
From my childhood till graduation, my parents sacrificed everything for my education. Watching their struggle made me stronger every day.
To support them, I worked part-time as a waitress during my studies.
But my dream always stayed the same—South Korea.
Still, reality was harsh. Studying abroad required money we could never afford.
Then a question kept echoing in my mind…
Should I chase my dream… or give it up for my family?
That question slowly changed everything inside me…
