Great work in progress

"There are some really great things here. you have a great plot and hook. The The characters seem really interesting. I think you need to slow down. fill in the gaps. its not a movie, there isn't a two hour minimum. Suspense and tension is created in movies by fast moving cameras.. but in books it by slowing down and not giving the reader all the info at once. For instants.. I might an interesting idea to NOT tell the reader why she is hiding. Or why she is back.. Just start with her thinking about coming back and how things haven't change.. even when she see edwards... don't explain what happened... have her think about what he looks like, how they use to play. what their relations was... how much she misses him.. how she secretly wishes they were still friends, and that she wishes things were different... wait till he shows up at the door to even mention that he won't recognize her face.. that she looks different. also don't skip her panic attack.. that is drama that is action just describe her fear and if you are not sure what a panic attack is like from the perspective of the person, there are people that can help and give you insight to that. I would wait until she wakes up and they are having their conversation for them to instead of getting along have a little fight... He is made that she didn't trust him and wait for him to help her, she is made because he didn't stand up to defend her.. so on and so for... and then have on of them blurt out something like.. "I know you didn't Kill HER... or I am not a Murderer!.. like that.. it would be a big shock to the read."

Suspicion and thriller

"I've been waiting to review this book since yesterday! Now, I'm always trying my best to be very honest with my reviews and criticism, so I hope that you're okay with it and it can help you learn to become better at your craft! Please don't take offence to anything I say. Firstly, I want to say that your plot idea is absolutely genius! I find it's interesting and fresh and since I'm an avid reader of suspense myself, I enjoyed it. However, there's something missing. It needs that little push to make it go from an average to a 10, if you know what I mean. I think that you haven't given us enough of the characters. Roze, for example, I'm reading about her, yet I don't feel like I'm close to her or that I'm getting to know her. Vivid characters always manage to become a real person instead of just being words in a book, but I'm not getting that yet from Roze, and the story needs to have a better focus on her, since that's the title. If you were going to paint a mysterious scene, you could have begun the story on a more gruesome scene. Focusing on that makes readers feel sympathy for her since it looks like she deeply cares for her dead friend and then she could have been labelled a 'Killer'. That makes us feel panic for her and even paint her like she's the real murderer. Creating suspense not only in the character's world, but also in the reader's head makes us more engaged. We can constantly keep doubting her and her intentions. Is she really telling us the truth, or is she actually the culprit herself? But I feel like by adding more characters and creating suspicion between them, you still managed to make it intriguing. Well done! Your writing may need some dusting since there were a few points in which grammar was definitely missing, so that could be improved. Overall, I believe you need to focus on descriptions more and creating scenes that keep us on the edge. Maybe even focus more on constructing the characters as we go. There aren't many chapters yet, so I can't judge it all, but based on the start, it was an intriguing read. Well done, I hope that you can take my few words of advice with you as you dive into the rest of the book! And I apologise in advance if I've discouraged you in any way, just know that if you keep writing, you'll slowly improve, and I'll be here to see you right through it! After all, struggle leads to growth :)"

Roze: A suspenseful crime thriller.

"Thrillers are action-packed, suspenseful and fast-paced stories with heart-throbbing twists and high stakes. I believe this story has most of these fundamental aspects. The writer has built this story from a good literary framework which makes the plotline quite intriguing and like most thrillers this story makes us as readers ask questions ...; Who killed Mia? How many people were involved? Could the enemy be closer than Sky imagines? The suspense really keeps you on the edge of your seat, biting off fingernails and all. However, I was able to identify technical issues here and there. I think the writer should look out for simple things like punctuation and sentence structure. I also believe the writer could emphasize more on word imagery through strong descriptions which may make the characters feel more realistic ( It's never a bad idea to go back to initial chapters and add some extra descriptive details). Also it would be nice to see the story build up to the climax with many unexpected twists 😁. All in all, I think this story is worth a reader's time and attention. So dear author please keep up with the regular updates and don't allow your confidence and imagination to be bogged down by anything.. Alright, that's it from me. Love, Stacey."

Great start

"I love the idea and premise of the book. There are some grammer and punctuation issues but that it easy to fix. There are some things to work on, like description and using action words to paint a picture. The frame work is strong and the story is great. I am suspisous of many characters in the story on 'Who killed Mia?' I think there is alot of potential for this book to be amazing, just keep writing and see where it goes from there. Also, I would love to see some twists and turns in the book!"

Rose

"I believe that the plot has great potential and the characters too. I just think that having a plastic surgery is a one hell of a jump. She could’ve just gone off the grid or gone somewhere quiet and secluded after of course changing her identity. You might also want to correct a few of the punctuation and capitalization mistakes. I think the story is off to a great start and I can’t wait to read more. "

A good start

"This was a small taste of a good story. The characters seem to have depth, but not enough chapters were available to read currently to make a decision on the story itself yet, so I'm still not quite submerged in the story. I typically don't read thrillers unless they are fantasy. Grammatically speaking your story is very well written. "

Rose

"It was an interesting start. I loved the contrasting idea for this story. I love thrillers. Mysteries. Anything to do with suspense. This book isn’t complete yet but I look forward to unfolding the rest. I love that it’s conversational and easily flowed between the characters. Keep up the good work! ☺️"

Early Review (Luma - Rose Story)

"I refuse to lie. The grammar made the story really rough to get through. Maybe because I am a grammar Nazi and get upset when even I make grammar mistakes. The plot has a steady base. Somebody leaves because they were framed and return after a while. However, I had these questions. "Who framed Rose?" "How did Mia die?" "What took place that led up to those events and to these beginning events of the story?" I could not stomach all of the errors and plot holes that made me confused more than I was by reading the story itself. This story can get somewhere, that is true. It needs a heavy ton of work, if not a strong repackage to better bring out the flow of the story. It feels like it stops and starts to be. I also read some run-on sentences, too. If you would like any help on story ideas and grammar, I'm willing to lend a hand. Contact me on Twitter or at my e-mail: [email protected]. Thank you and have a nice day!"
