Poems from a Quilted Multiverse

Summary

Science Fiction and Poetry does not go hand in hand. Or you thought so. Let's rethink it like every single revisions of our ideas that we do everyday. "Permutate finite for an infinite time / It will give you many many Earths / Repeats that look and feel the same / And repeats different and dearth." We can google of course, but if you do not want to, quilted multiverse is a very simple scientific idea. If you make permutations of a finite set, say for example the letters A to Z, you will come up with all words that us humans ever created. If you keep on permutating an infinite time, words will repeat themselves. With or without variations. So what happens if we permutate the elements - a finite set as well - there is sodium, calcium, carbon, oxygen, iron, titanium - keep on counting and still it is a finite set. What happens is - if we permutate the elements infinite times, there will be multiple earths somewhere in the universe. Some will be exact same, like you and me and everybody around us in the exact same way we are. Some will be similar but somewhat different. Worlds where Bernie Sanders is the US president. Worlds where Dinosaurs did not die. Worlds where physical laws are a bit different allowing magical events like Dragons and Direwolves. That is the idea behind a Quilted Multiverse, and behind my poems.

Predestination

Put it very simple, we don't have a choice,

No matter if we grieve, panic, or if we rejoice.

We did not chose our births, did the choice end there?

The choice ended earlier, more than thirteen billion years.

Today is a mathematical product of yesterdays.

So can you trace back to the earliest gamma rays.

Does that mean your life is a falsehood? Absolutely not.

Life is success among zillions of statistical shot.

Keeping on the success is what we call deliberation.

Who cares if that is a math or driven by intention?

When intention is another mathematical product itself

That determines which book you will pick from your bookshelf

And so determined your looking at this text at this moment

And my ending this unresolved puzzle now without relent.
