“And who the hell are you?” I ask, shocked, looking at the tall muscular man that has just elegantly climbed through my bedroom window. He smiles and I see the glint of fangs. He licks his lips and I stiffen, holding the towel to me more closely. I had just come back from a lovely shower... and there was a bloody vampire in my room!

“You are going to come quietly,” he says, “If you work yourself up, your heart beat will increase... I might not be able to resist your sweet neck,” he leans against the window, his chest bared except for the black leather pants he has on. Vampires had funny dress sense sometimes. He crosses his arms across his chest arrogantly.

“What do you mean, come quietly?” I ask, frozen to the spot near my wardrobe, opposite him. Only the bed separated us.

“I mean, shut up and come here,” he says, his voice dripping with menace.

“Like hell I will,” I say firmly back, trying to appear brave when inside I felt like I was going to die of fear, “What do you want from me?” I ask.

“Listen here, sweetheart,” he leans up off the wall and I take a step back, hitting my back against my wardrobe, “We either do this the easy way or the hard way,” he grins, flashing his fangs again, “I wouldn’t mind the hard way...”

“What do you want from me?” I nearly scream, beginning to shake in my fluffy white towel. Vampires were fast, super strong, and I was completely at his mercy. I didn’t exactly have garlic in my wardrobe! And I was home alone... I had been all week. My parents were away on a holiday. I had no siblings.

“Now, now, sweetie,” he says, shaking his head disapprovingly, “I told you, don’t get yourself worked up. You are really tempting me to have a little taste. And I have orders not to do that,” Still shaking, I watch with wide eyes as he stalks towards me.

“What do you want?” I ask again, my voice squeaking as he comes closer. He stops a bare foot from me, a nice warm and seductive smile on his face.

“You’ll find out soon enough,” I shriek as with lightning fast speed, he scoops me up into his arms and throws me over his shoulder. Somehow the towel is still around me and I thank god for it.

He stalks towards the window, me still on his shoulder as he jumps out with ease. I try to stay silent, calm, so my heart rate slows. I fail to do it. The thought of me dying as he sucked the blood from my neck was freaking me out even more as he walked me through my garden to the street beyond.

“Damn,” he mutters, “If I didn’t have orders not to taste you, I’d probably have sucked you dry by now. You smell so damn good,” he chuckles to himself and my eyes widen as he stops next to a car and the door opens. He pushes me into the back seat, off his shoulder. He puts on my seatbelt in the middle seat before sliding in himself.

I’m still shaking from fear as I seat next to an incredibly hot yet terrifying, half naked vampire.

“You’re being taken to the King Vampire’s lair,” he says, “And you, darling, are going to be a good little girl. Or you might get yourself killed,” I swallow in fear and look down at my shaking hands before looking back up to my captor.

“Why would I get killed?” I ask, scared as crap.

“Let’s just say you aren’t in the King’s good books right now. So, behave, and do as your told when we get there,” I look away from him towards the driver. It’s another vampire who smirks at me in the rear-view mirror before driving off into the empty street.

I still had no idea why the King of all vampires wanted me captured.

I just hoped I survived the whole ordeal.
