Into the Void
"First of all the cover is wonderful! The cover gives a perspective that the book is going to be scary and mysterious which is exactly what a good horror author would do to catch the reader's attention. In the story, there were a few grammar mistakes but overall it was worth reading it and commenting my personal opinions about each chapter. Jonathan's character is brave and confident at first he seems afraid and unsure about his dreams but in each chapter, he slowly starts getting stronger and capable of wanting to beat those creatures. If Jonathan was a creepypasta he would be a very cool one his purpose would be to hunt demon-like creatures like the ones he saw in his dreams. I've never read a horror book like this before it really was worth my time I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of this type of genre. Overall the author did an excellent job with his writing style and in entertaining the reader I love this book thank you for recommending it to me! Best of luck with your other works!"
Into the void
"WOW! This author is FANTASTIC! I havent got too far into the book, but I just had to stop to write this review. The writing style is so rich and clear and with such excellent details, I was completely immersed. The pace and dialogue are perfection. I forgot I was reading. The words jumped off the page and played like a movie in my mind. RARELY DO I FIND A BOOK LIKE THIS! I can count on one hand how many times I ever ran across an author that can transport you this deeply. I love books that do that to a reader. There was hardly an error in grammar. Nor even a dead moment of filler. I never tuned out. I couldnt find plot holes or confusion of any kind or missing details. This book has started with everything my horror loving heart desires. The author has set a bar and I actually think I'm a better writer after reading it. I will be reading more and will most likely write another review. I am thoroughly impressed. And very glad I ran across this author. FANTASTIC JOB! "

This Novel Has Levels
"I enjoyed this more than I thought I would! Wow. 🤗 Read in one sitting, and I am not a reader. I was familiar with your writing style years ago, and seeing how it’s progressed to now is amazing. Your wording was beautiful, thought out and intriguing. And the chapters are more or less all cliffhangers! It made me miss reading lol It’s clear you’ve spent your time on this! Very curious which direction you will choose to take this story"
You know I loved it

"This was one heck of a book .. whoa .. I never expected this ending .. honestly, it caught me right in the throat :D The story overall is amazing .. I loved it .. every inch .. like a good horror movie :) The plot of the story was amazing .. every detail, every inch was explained, nothing left confusing, nothing out of order .. one could make out what was happening and where it was happening .. I should add that the world-building was amazingly planned .. you honestly know what you were planning when you wrote this book :) The characters -- they were well built and explained :) the monsters as well .. everything detail about all the characters, in violence, in emotion .. in everything was well built together and added :) Your writing style -- is unique :) nothing wrong with it :) it was mature enough to read :) and fitted the character's voice :) There was a few Grammarly mistakes here and there .. but I noticed that other's did help with that .. so I'm just letting you know .. fixing them is easy and it doesn't drive away from the book :) All in all .. Never stop writing .. always keep writing and never give up :) I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good horror book :) xoxo Gammateddy"
A Chilling Nightmare
"The description of this story had me hooked from the start. I truly enjoyed this writer's ability to leave us on the edge of our seats as he ended each chapter. I instantly wanted to flip to the next chapter to keep reading. Bravo! There were some issues, but they were minor and easy to overlook because the story as a whole was very captivating. There were some gruesome and super scary horror moments, but they were woven into a storyline that was constructed very well, so they didn't seem too over-the-top, but it's a horror story, so there's plenty of gore for those of you that like that! It was a truly chilling tale of nightmares and the things that haunt these characters. Highly recommended reading for those of you that love a good horror story. And Levi is a cool dude. Probably one of my favorite supporting characters yet!"
The Void of Madness!
"All Jonathan wants to do does is lead an normal life with his somewhat ordinary family. He has a snotty older sister and a rather distant mother and father. He has dreams of dating the pretty teenaged girl Jenny, if his best friend Levi doesn’t accidentally ruin it for him with his over-the-top antics. Overall Jonathan is satisfied with life but then comes the fateful car accident and nothing is the same for Jonathan ever again. He wakens and yet is tormented by nightmares; dreams that present themselves as reality but is only a curtain hiding infinite horrors underneath. As Jonathan struggles to understand his new existence, he slowly looses his grip on reality. What is real and what is imagined? Will Jonathan ever be able to return to what he perceived as ‘normal’ ever again? I enjoyed this story. It reminded me a little of the anime ‘The Blue Line’. Especially when things really go off the rockers in Jonathan’s nightmares. I also liked some of the themes Jake H explores in his novel; the accelerated descent into horror, the family that Jonathan initially took for granted now becoming monstrous versions of themselves. (He didn’t realize how good he had it before. Lol!) I’m looking forward to reading more of Jake H’s works. This was a fun dissection of the world of chaos. "
Review
"There are some minor typing errors but nothing major, so four of five on technical writing. Also, while I enjoyed most of your descriptions and vivid writing, I would caution not to be too gory in the nightmares. Be careful not to turn the story into just an indulgence of violent and disturbing images. There's no question this is a very important part of your plot, so just make sure gory and disturbing is balanced out with a strong plot and character development. Having said that, the plot is still very strong, and I'm completely hooked. You have an excellent story. I especially loved the prologue. I've always liked that story structure, with the prologue set after the rest of the story. This was a fantastic way to catch the readers' attention. You have good main character, and his friend, Levi, brings some humanity to the story. I also like your use of comic relief and a touch of romance to remind the readers that Jonathan is sill a human being. I can't wait to read the rest of it.!"
5/5 ✨
"The prologue was by far my favorite part of the entire book. I don't want to spoil any plot detail for future readers, but it definitely had me hook line, and sinker. I could also appreciate how the first chapter started BEFORE the prologue, instead of after. I feel like too many books do the latter. The grammar, formatting, and spelling are all wonderfully done. I love your writing style, but at the same time, I don't. Some parts hit really well, and have an amazing impact on me. Others I was just cringing and skipping by. One thing I think you could work on would be the setting. It doesn't seem like a real highschool at all. It's like I'm looking at a high school from a really cheesy rom-com on Netflix. I also feel like Levi (who has a really cool first name 🥺) doesn't talk like an actual teenager. I get that he's trying to be "comedic relief" but it just comes off as forced to me. The words they use also feel as though an adult is trying to place themselves in the shoes of a teenager. However, whenever you described the kids as feel practically dead until lunch time felt so real."
Freaky!
"I really enjoyed the prologue of this story, it was my favorite part, well-written, well-paced, captivating and downright freaky! I was really hoping for that scene to be continued or developed further at the story but it didn't come back, that was a shame. Maybe it will in the next part? I enjoyed reading this, the premise of this story, though not original, is very freaky and well constructed. It reminded me a bit of Coraline during the first nightmare sceance, which I liked. I did have problems connecting with the main character, especially at the begining, he was quite egotistical, bit of a smartass and seemed unable to empathise with the people around him (though, being a teenager, that's realistic). I was happy to see him take on a more protective and braver attitude at the end. There were a few grammar issues and typos in there, but easy to fix when you're editing."
