Escape From The Witch Hunters

"Very cute and entertaining story. You cannot help but root for Ryia and Gillian. Ryia needs to discover that her mother is in Carenthia as well. Though I don't know if you plan a sequel. Your story does need editing for missing words and smoothing out. Best Wishes 🌹"

Absolutely brilliant

"I was almost sad to come to the end of it all! A thorough spell check would be helpful but the story was amazing. So glad Gillian came back! I also would have liked to have seen more from the Witch Hunters but this story was already addictive; I read it in one sitting. "

Good Read

"I thought the book was a good read. It was very entertaining, fast paced and kept my attention. I don't have a lot of time to read due to other commitments so when I sat down to read this book I was surprised it held my attention, enough to read it in one night."

A new favorite!

"Excellent story! The plot took on many different twists and you were led to always wonder what was going to happen next. Literally could not put it down once I started. It was really easy for me to put myself right alongside the characters and experience the many adventures right along with them. Definitely looking forward to reading more by this author."

Holds my attention well

"I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book. The author did a good job keeping the reader's attention with a continuous string of new adventures that they went through. I tend to skim read books to get to the interesting parts, but I didn't need to with this one. I enjoyed it all. I also noticed the many references to the Christian faith, which I really appreciated. It helped me feel safe reading the book, that it wouldn't go down the wrong path. Though there are some basic grammar issues, they are obviously just typos. You can easily read through them. The author actually seems to know their grammar pretty well."

Amazing!!!!

"Finnish reading this book, now starting on another one of hers, this isn't your typical love story, it has more action and excitement. The two characters don't live in some fantasy love world where everything is perfect. They are on the run for their life's. A real page turner. Regardless of your preference of genre you have to read this book."

Refreshing

"This story has a very simple plot with no typical 'Prince Charming' & poor girl, who depends on her savior to keep her happy & in one piece. This story is about a young couple who lived through thick & thin with no social or financial differences between them. I like the story's simplicity & the idea of equality between a man & a woman, which is very contextual even in 21st century. Even though the author didn't mention the time period, I assume it is set up in previous centuries, when killing healers in guilty of practicing witchcraft was very frequent. Gillian's character crafting is simple, much to my liking, unlike those muscled, heavy weight heroes whom I was bored to see through in many stories. Evelyn's character sketching is also skillful, for she was not an ordinary girl, even though she broke down many times, yet she managed to keep her dignity. No wonder, the author is very promising one, for she had shared a refreshing fantasy novel & I am looking for more stories from her."

Another Good Read!

""Escape from the Witch Hunters," is a romantic gateway to young love, with similar ideas that attract the younger readers in a way to express and promote the story. This was definitely worth my time and for others to read. Sometimes the grammar and punctuation were off but, I would've liked to read more about the Witch Hunters in this story and have this group more involved, I feel as if this part was shoved aside but overall it's a wonderful read with tender love. The main characters are delightful and sometimes repetitive, but the I believe their journey is one that I never tire of. Elizabeth Pau has great potential and maybe with more practice, we'll be greeted with a second, "Escape from the Witch Hunters," to indulge once again in. The love is there, the heartbreak of being torn from another is present, and I certainly will remember the two star-crossed lovers in this exciting tale!"

Pretty good

"I enjoyed this book quite a bit. The characters were engaging and funny. The plot was one I've read before in the "Witch of Blackbird Pond" the only differences being the place, time set, and characters. The writing style was decent, I could follow the story. There were several words that are misspelled, so I would go through it again and fix that sort of stuff. I would probably also have someone proof read it for grammar. (I'm not an expert in grammar at all, so this is just coming from someone who also needs to do it) It is definitely a Christian fiction book or Inspirational Fiction. So lovers of this type of book will enjoy this. Thank you for sending me the message, I loved your story. I hope more people read it."

Excellent Read!

"Witch hunters, lush landscapes, corrupt government, a healer on the run, and a hero with gorgeous eyes? Yes, please! Historical fiction books that are during the Dark Ages time period have always been a favorite of mine so I was delighted that Escape from the Witch Hunters had a decidedly medieval flair to it. Characters 5/5: Elizabeth Pau has done a great job giving each character in the story unique quirks and perks, even the animals. Evelyn, the main character, is well-developed and consistent. No ridiculously dramatic mood swings (a HUGE pet peeve of mine) out of the blue. She is innocent and cute. Gillian is a charming young man with all you want in a main character, good-looking, a skilled fighter, smart, and kind. His musings to himself are adorable and hilarious. My one complaint against him was he seemed a little wishy-washy. Plot 4/5: The storyline was exciting and never dragged even for a page. It is one exciting adventure or mishap after the other. Flow 3/5: There were a few instances in the book where I feel the book needed to be edited a bit (some tweaks here and there with the tenses would really make this book read more smoothly). Action 4/5: There are a lot of adventurous fights and edge-of-your-chair flights in this book. I only wish the author would spend more time “fleshing” the action out. Humor 5/5: This book isn’t a comedy but the author has a wonderful sense of humor. She adds a small dab here and a dash there. The book is sprinkled throughout with witty and just plain funny comments that made me laugh out loud! Overall, this book is a winner and I highly recommend it! Clean fantasy/romance books for the win!"

Worth Your Time!

"It is a clean romance novel. Something that is hard to find in today's world. The author is doing great with the little experience they have. They write in a way that holds your interest while still being clean. This book is worth reading! (If you like romance.)"
