I will never Forget This Book!
"First, just want to say: Beautiful plot, beautiful writing style, grammars on point= beautiful book! Reading this book really made me fall down the rabbit hole. This is a quirky, funny, lighthearted version of the book Alice in Wonderland and the prologue and blurb really set the scene! The cover is AMAZING, the combination of fonts against the background are really effective. The only thing I would say is if you move around a few chapters, maybe elongate a chapter here and shorten a chapter there will really add to the reader engagement. The chapters have varied length which can be effective sometimes but in some places you just want MORE of the book! It is a really great start on a WONDERful book (pun intended) and I know this writer is going to go so far! Keep it up, I look forward to more :)"
Forget Me Not
"A quick note: this review would be a long one, so brace yourselves. Anyway, let's get started! Firstly, the plot has an interesting flow and it's not predictable. Based off of the previous comments that I've read, they did say that the story is kind of reminiscent off of "Alice in Wonderland", if I stand by correctly. Personally, I don't like these kind of genres, however, because of the writer's astonishing writing skills, it made me captivated and embrace the story even if the genre is not one of my likings. That's pretty neat if I would say! Next up is the take on the characters. The characters are on-point and well-written. They interact well with the surroundings as well as the characters around them that makes the story more intriguing and lively. An excellent take! We already know that the book cover is superb, so, I'm not going to look into that. The grammar and punctuations are in good shape, so, that's good! I guess the downside of this story is the writing style of the writer. The writer uses a lot of words that are not as common for people to use. In other words, the usage of "deep words" or the lack of "Layman's Term" to describe such words. Considering that the characters are in a world full of "royalty" with kings, queens, princes, and princesses alike, I guess it is reasonable to use such deep words, however, I think it could be executed better because using an excessive amount of it can make the narrative somewhat confusing, making the message "not get across". Overall, if I word describe the story in one word, I would say the word "royal" or maybe the word "magnificent". This story is a must! It's one of those stories that can be published. Good work! It's worth a try! "
Forget me not
"Honestly, it was a pretty good read. I like how the author is very luxurious about the distribution of words in the story. Very strong vocabulary but I had to keep googling the meaning of the words. The plot is great, grammar, great. Storyline good. But maybe you should retouch the bookcover because people sometimes do judge a book by it's cover so, you might want to change a tad bit about it. Like, moving the name of the novel to middle and lessening the filter-ish look of the photo. I believe you understand what I mean. Splendid usage of words. But also, please do separate dialogues from the paragraph. In that way, it will be way easier for the readers. Overall, it's a 👍🏻"
Forget Me Not
"I loved this whirlwind of adventure, with the romance deviously twisted in between. Valerie's innermost thoughts were loud and clear and I absolutely adored the character development."
So Well Done
"This is a delicious, classy, mature, seductive, and spellbinding retelling of Alice in Wonderland. I loved reading the familiar characters represented in the author's original take of them, and the plot thus far is intriguing. The author's writing is so classic and romantic, which I am in awe and inspired by, and I personally really love it. You can tell a lot of work and thought was put into not only the story but also the writing style. I have read several other pieces from this author, and I think she is really talented. I look forward to read more updates from this story. "
Fantastical
"A lush, fantastical retelling of the original Alice in Wonderland tale! This story has it all- from mad characters to captivating plots, Forget Me Not is must read! One thing I must point out is the perfect grammar throughout- well done!"
Captivating
"I was hooked. The story was a bit too wordy, and took a bit of concentration to follow, but overall, I enjoyed it. I'm very excited and can't wait for the next chapter. Awesome job!"
Riveting
"Forget Me Not is as mad as hell and saccharine as heaven- and I bloody adore it! This novel takes sanity and questions its rationality. It examines societal normalities and asks "why is this considered to be normal?" From the intense plot to the lyrical writing akin to prose and poetry, this is a read I would highly recommend!!"
Forget me not
"Not my usual type but I loved it!"
forget me not
"Love it already. A dark retake of Alice. Not my usual type of read, I found it intriguing and interesting. It has made me think how fairy and fantasy stories could come so close to being horror stories.Your story flows quickly keeping the reader glued., anticipating the outcome. Well done"
Good but needs work
"A really good description, the political drama set in wonderland is definitely interesting. Your title of the story feels a bit odd, like it doesn't fit the story. No Queens Are Subservient I think would work better. Also the title of your first part ’chapter prologue’ needs to be changed to just prologue or chapter 1. The opening paragraphs to the story are very good, but the massive paragraph after that needs to be split up better. You set up things brilliantly though in that prologue. Your paragraphs in the chapter 01 need looking at again. Some are too big, like are a good size and some are just lines that need to be put into paragraphs and you need to make sure you start a new line when a new person speaks. There are at times where you repeat detail, like with Valerie’s boots. Describe them when she is lacing them back up then just put ’turning on my heels’. Also you need to put ’on’ instead of ’in’. Your chapters are a good-sized and the detail is excellent. This is a very dramatic and sensual take on the world of wonderland, it just needs fixing to make it a smoother read. Well done though. "
A lush, fantastical read.
"Your beginning is amazing, it has a strong hook .Just making shorter paragraphs would make it easier for the reader. It's a bit intense so it would be easier to read if the paragraphs are shorter. But otherwise its a lush, addicting and absolutely rich and lovely book. I love it."
Advanced readers only.
"Only 2 chapters in, waiting on the next update. The book is quite a heavy read so far. I had to really concentrate to be able to follow the story. If English is not your first language, this book might be a bit too difficult for you to follow. Also, it might help to put spaces in between your paragraphs in Chapter 2, to give the reader a bit of a breather in between paragraphs. Sounds like a very interesting story, where anything can happen. (Not sure how to rate the plot at this stage. 😊)"
