Authors note: this is important to read to get a better understanding of the book

Narrated in the voice of Salem

Twenty-five years ago, God decided to rid of humans. He was disappointed and lost faith in them. So he gave orders to his lower angels to demise them. Humans thought of them as demons because of how petrifying they were. But lower angels were angels without form, so their spirits entered the bodies of the weak or old, Making them pale with black eyes and razor-sharp teeth. God found out about a baby being born as the chosen and gave orders to kill it.

But an angel named Michael defied those orders and decided to save it and fight his own kind including his brother Gabriel who was will do anything for God, even kill his own brother. Soon God realized he was wrong and disappeared out of sight. No angel knew where he went and gone. But they knew he wanted the chosen to live. Gabriel devastated by the disappearance of God, carried on the order to kill off the humans along with the lower angles. Bringing about a 25 year-long battle between the angels and humans. With Michael on the human side, the battle was won. And the remaining humans built a fortified city in Los Vegas now known as Vega, under the power of lady Dale, Ex general Riesen, And her son Alex Riesen.

Michael took the chosen one from her father when she turned ten. He made her an assistant and personal soldier of the lady of the city, so he could train her in secret without the watchful eyes. No one in the city knew who she really was not even She herself. My name is Salem.
