Lana Nikaido, the daughter of a powerful, deceased Commissioner, finds herself caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse with a hooded figure who’s been stalking her for years. Desperate to find a way to be safe from him forever, Lana soon discovers that there are some bigger pieces on the chessboard, hiding in the shadows waiting to strike. For starters, the new Commissioner’s daughter has been abducted, and Lana soon realises that perhaps there’s a connection between the abduction and her father’s death. In order for Lana to uncover the truth, she’ll need to work with the LAPD as she delves into not only her father’s deadly past, but her own. And finding the answers about her past, about her father’s past, will take Lana to the edge of darkness. The only question is, who will come out on top?
