"the story was cool and definitely should be read."
Great Writing
"This story is very clearly going somewhere big! I can't wait for more plot development, but I honestly can say wherever it goes the author has the talent to make it big. The characters are each distinct, and the organization of this story is top tier. I do think there will be a lot of romance, which for me isn't usually the genre I like, but the author is doing a great job of developing it. There were no glaring grammatical or technical issues. I love Cassie! You have done a great job developing her character. Also the sibling dynamic is super well written between Cassie and Jason!"
Lovely
"I love the way the book was plotted and k think it's interesting "
FALLEN STAR
"Cassidy and Tyler’s relationship, even though they’re not dating yet, would be so cute and I love how you put the chapters titles as color :) <3 "
Fallen Star
"I really liked it so far. I wasn't expecting for it to be so interesting. "
Good read
"I enjoyed the build up into the plot, the author eases you into the story nicely as you move through the same journey as Cassidy in establishing herself in a new city. The author also does a great job of fleshing out the characters and developing their dynamics and personalities in a way that is believable and realistic. My only criticism is on the style, this is a personal one that not everyone will share, but the shift in tone between third person narration and first person can feel a little awkward at times."
Mysterious and elegant!
"I love the FMC, Cassidy, so much. She has such a distinct personality and I love that about her. I love the suspense set in place by the author for Tyler. He seems so cool but I think we all are a bit suspicious. This book keeps me at the edge of my seat wanting more! I love it!"
A Familiar Setting With Unfamiliar & Dark Undertones
"Fallen Stars details the protagonist's transition to a new school on the far side of the country. I found that the teenager's moodiness was well encapsulated, and it was refreshing to see this take the form of disinterest or introversion, rather than anger or rudeness. The author has also taken care to establish the characters and not rush the plot of the story; only after the most recent chapter do we begin to see the plot's 'problem' arise. We are already seeing some foreshadowing - insects eating other insects and drawings of angry dogs hint that there is darkness to come. I also like that Tyler, for instance, is more complex than the simple the 'dreamboat' Cassie might have thought, and the ominous note at the end of 'Purple' is plot point I did not anticipate. I did notice some grammatical issues throughout. Nothing substantial, and nothing a good edit won't fix, but something to keep an eye on! I also personally find it very difficult to write in 'real time', so I commend the author for taking this direction, however there were a few instances where we jumped between past and present tense which I found a little confusing. Ultimately, I think this is a great start with a unique writing style. I know there is a lot more plot to come, and I am very much unsure of the direction it will be taking - which is great, because it will keep the reader interested. I'll will absolutely be reading the next chapters as they come out."
Good start
"So, I'd just like to say that I found it an enjoyable read, and I liked it. I did feel like there was some missing plot. I don't know. It felt like there should be something more. I also noticed a lot of punctuation errors. It's harder for me to understand the story when I see those. I felt like there was a little bit of lack to Cassidy's personality. It felt kind of hard to understand her. In future chapters, I think you should expand more on her character. Again, these are just suggestions. You don't have to take them seriously if you don't want to. I'm just trying to help your story a little bit. Overall, good job, and I will continue reading when you make new chapters!"
