Have you ever felt that creeping sensation that someone is watching you? Or something, in my case. A tingling sensation rushed over me as soon as I was passing by a tall black metal fence.

And It wasn't the good chills either, like the ones when you're cold then get a big fluffy jacket. No, this was sudden, and as I kept walking, it burned even more the more I walked, so I stopped.

Turning around, looking left, then right. The sensation wasn't a bad one, it was uncomfortable. Then something else came. The ground wasn't rumbling, but the wind blew harsher, more intensely cold.

I shifted my weight from foot to foot and turned my attention to the woods on the other side of the rocky road.

Eyes.

I was met with a pair.

Then another, and another, until there were many eyes on me. Then the fangs came out and every last one of them snarled and launched at me.

Now, I'm crazy, but not crazy enough to be content to dying by being torn to shreds by a bunch of rabid dogs.

Technically dogs, but they were wolves, besides the point.

So I did the best thing anyone else would do. I screamed bloody murder and jumped the highest I have ever, practically over the fence that was just about 10 feet tall.

Quite an accomplishment If I do say so myself. The wolves seemed quite surprised by how high my voice was getting. And all I can say for myself, is I am quite the high-pitched singer.

As I was flailing around to grasp the top of the fence, a man came rushing over almost immediately. As If he had been watching the entire time and came to rescue poor me.

I wasn't taking any charity, so as soon as I got up I grasped onto the tree on the other side of the fence and snapped it in half. "Fuck off you fuckers!"

Then I swung the branch like a baseball bat and sent one of them flying. I was screaming and shouting at them to challenge me, all the while the man stood and observed me in awe.

This was his mate, the woman he would spend the rest of his life with. What an amazing first encounter.

But would she stay?

Or would she run?
