Once upon a small farm town...

Dabria Silvercast pov: Dabria.. It has been my name as long as I can remember. And I've hated it since I was young. It means "Angel of darkness." My father is a cruel and evil king, ruling over the kingdom with an iron fist. I'm nothing like my father. Yet, day after day, I'm hated for just being related to him. My mother died when I was young. I haven't been allowed to leave the castle since. I'm 16, and when i turn 17, it'll be my turn to rule the kingdom. But how do I rule a place I've never seen? So I decided. I'll be gone by the time the sun rises.

As I ride by horseback, my long black hair waving in the wind, my heart aches. Im leaving behind the only home I've ever known. I take comfort in the shining moon and twinkling stars. I feel safer every foot farther I am from the castle. Being unsafe in the capital, I have no time to lolly gag. Instead, I ride throughout the night. As the sun begins to peak over the mountains, I finally reach the small town of Fotsenburg. Too tired to explore, I tie my steer to a nearby fence and fall asleep on a bay of hay.

I wake up to the sound of my horse panicking. And a blade, cool to the touch, poking my throat. Looking up at my attacker, im met with... Soft green eyes, hidden behind a scowl. These weren't the eyes of a killer. Apon closer inspection, the sword was slightly quivering and hesitant. "W-who are you!" The male stammered out, attempting and failing to hide his stuttering. "You're one of those bandits who've been hiding in the woods lately, aren't you!" The male spewed out, a curly lock of blonde hair falling in his eyes. He was clearly scared out of his wits. Couldn't have been more than 14. I gently push the sword away and stand up, my hands in the air. "I'm no thief. My name is Da-...Dahlia." He looks at me skepticaly. "Why were you asleep on my father's farm?" I take a few seconds to respond, thinking of a plausible lie."I ran away from home. My father is..controlling." I said, not wanting to completely lie to the boy. "Very well then.. I am Winster. Come to the house, it's lunchtime, and we can't very well send you on your way hungry." Winster took me to his house, and we enjoyed lunch, but soon I had to move on. I have a whole kingdom to see and only six months to do it. Six months until I'm seventeen. Six months to prove to my kingdom, I'm not my father. Six major cities. One month to fix each one.

Narrator pov:

Humans, Fae, Shifters, Elvish, Wolves, and Demons. The six races of the world. Each occupying a different city in the Silvercast kingdom. Each is separated by a corrupt king. That's the way it's always been. At least, that's what most believe. The last species lay forgotten. Their clan thought to be wiped out completely. Yet one survives. Hiding among men. Waiting for the day where he can revenge his people. For the day he can finally take down the crown. And destroy... Every. Last. Royal. The last living dragon, Raiden Elrod.

Raiden Elrod pov:

From attacking guards to helping the poor, I've been doing everything I can to hurt the royals and help my city. While walking down the streets, I saw a strange looking girl. Dressed in a long billowing cloak. Unconsciously, I began following her. It being a small town, I knew everyone and outsiders weren't exactly welcome. Outsiders typically meant they weren't human. As I grabbed her shoulder and turned her around, I was shocked to see she was indeed human. A beautiful one at that- knock it off Raiden, we dont know why she's here yet. "Who are you? Why are you here?" I said with a scowl planted firmly on my face. I felt a bit bad when I saw her grimace at my firm manner of speaking, but I didn't have time to dwell on it. "I am Dahlia." She spoke, a strange air of authority to her voice. "I am visiting the kingdom. Helping where I can. Do you have a problem with that?" My glare dropped into one of surprise before I smirked."None whatsoever, Sweetheart. i'm Raiden. Nice to meet you." But instead of shaking my outstretched hand, she simply clicked her tongue and walked away. Rude. Little did I know that wouldn't be the last I saw of her.
