Pass the 10th boards, then your life is set! Study hard now
Pass the 12th boards, then your life is set! Bachelors will be easy
Pass your bachelor’s, then your life is set! Getting a job will be child’s play
You need to do your master’s, big corporations need more qualifications, then your life is set!
You go high and low searching for a job, apply everywhere, and because there are lakhs who have the same qualifications and skill sets as yours, you settle for less. Less pay, low posts, more responsibilities, and higher expectations. The sad part is, you will do it, and you will give your best no matter what because, you just cannot sit home.
It is okay for you to slowly go insane but you cannot be an embarrassment in the society, that is just unacceptable.
It will be embarrassing to sit at home but when you join a workforce, you will long to stay an embarrassment.
Slowly you will get used to it, but the money will make it fine.
You will make milestones, buy a car, build a house, eventually have a family and everything will feel fine.
But in some time, the stress and work will start taking a toll. You have health scares; you will try to take care of your health but the fear of getting kicked out and becoming an embarrassment will not let you stay in peace.
Because, now you have a family and you will start living for them, you will not realise when you stopped being yourself and just faded away in the background. And that is when you will step closer to your end.
This is when you will retire, it is going to be a simple and peaceful time but…. Now you miss having to do something. You are bored and sick and everybody wants you to rest and have fun now. And eventually you will come to an end.
Now this is the basic background story, but as we all know, it is not exactly same for everyone. There is a different spice to every story. Which is very much influenced by the characters in the story and also the lead.
