Intruiging
"This is the type of book I would recommend reading twice to understand all the interesting nook and crannies that fill the chapters. If i recall there was some interesting metaphorical foreshadowing going on which was pleasing. As a fantasy novel it hit the nail into the board meeting all the criteria and then some. Dominick is a good name for such a heroic type of character. Though I feel his character was snarky in some regard, however it still felt like i was reading about a true individual. The combat that lavished this tale was enticing and orchestrated efficiently without vying away from the main story. Like most works published here, there were a few phrases that could be reworded. Using the third person limited POV worked effectively here. I use that format a lot and find it effective when getting plot and action across to the reader. It reads more professionally and your experience clearly shows. I have not come across publish worthy content here but your's is defiantly up there. I hope your work goes far if not this book then your other work. P.S. Have you considered witting romance? you have written some interesting emotional parts that would make a good sell point to most. Especially since that is where the market is at it seems. Look forward to more of your work keep it going !"
WOW!
"This story literally had me clued to the end. Even when there was no "cliffhanger" my mind was screaming at me do discover move about these characters. The pace is excellent as character development grows and you become attached to the vulnerabilities of characters who appear invisible. The plot eases you in with mystery and question. A need to read story!"
Mesmerizing plot
"I'm swoon by your book and everything was so well excecuted. My only concern was a few tenses gone wrong at a few places. Your writing style was pretty cool and it complimented your book. I'm impressed and I'm sure this book is going to be a success. :)"
Cost of Revenge
"Excellent plot and excellent execution! Kudos for you! The plotline is simply fascinating, although I read only till the first chapter. I do have something to point out, though: The first chapter is so large... I think you should break it up somehow. Maybe put the chapter with the dream in the next one, at the beginning? Something like that. Otherwise, I have no problem with the story. I'll come back to read more as and when I get time, Good luck with your writing!"
Awesome
"This story is like a rope. Even if you want to leave some new event pulls you back into reading! I love the story plot. You should write more like this. Overall, I recommend this book to everyone."
Excellent
"Cost of Revenge By Gracie Qu Requested: 5.3.2018 Written: 5.9.2018 First off, I really liked the way you set things up (in the prologue). While abstract, it definitely grabs attention and later satisfies the curiosity it builds--so HUGE kudos to you on that! The pacing throughout the book was overall quite fast--something I didn’t expect for a book with as many chapters as you have. You definitely know the right amount of information, action, and plot to put into each chapter and executed them beautifully. Description seemed to be hit or miss; there are instances where you spend the time to walk us through what someone/something looks like, giving us just the right amount of detail so we can picture it in our heads, but there are instances where you do zoom by. Understandably, not every single item or person is going to have a paragraph on them or anything, but where important, definitely don’t hold back the details--you’re very spot-on with them! There were a few errors I noticed (mostly tense-issues, but also some repetition and dialogue tag issues) but they weren’t overwhelming, and they certainly didn’t impede my enjoyment of the book. They can be hard to catch, so I’d recommend a third-party editor for your work to get your book squeaky-clean. This book is a great read for anyone who enjoys the fantasy-journey genre and likes a lot of action and themes!"
Great Fantasy
"There is nothing new under the sun. An old saying that runs true especially when it comes to fantasy and sci-fi novels. However, that doesn't mean there aren't good fantasy/sci-fi novels and this is one good fantasy novels. I have found myself drawn into this book and wanting to know what will happen. The author has managed to create something new out of the normal. It is done in a new manner and with an original story. It is a good story and a great read that I am enjoying it a lot."
A FANTASY KINGDOM BROUGHT POWERFULLY TO LIFE
"Congratulations Gracie on a number of levels: the creation of a kingdom, a land and a society caught in the thrall of war; an array of tri-dimensional characters with wonderful appropriate names – both strong Anglo-Saxon and newly minted; vigorous, detailed battle scenes, and, I really liked the sense of unity you showed with horse and rider (I had the feeling you have spent time on and around horses and have a love of these fine animals). Regarding the creation the kingdom of Gelbraun and the society of the time I acknowledge a job well done. A lot of work, thought and cross-referencing of detail goes into this; it does not happen by chance. In my novel, THE PRICE TO PAY, I have created a fictional island off the east coast of Australia, the unicameral political structure and the portfolios of office, and I know the amount of time, effort and close attention required. Your prose and writing style is robust and vigorous, and most appropriate for the unfolding of this excellently crafted story. The mysticism and the fortunes told that overlays the sequence of events as they unfold, especially as nothing is certain, adds an extra dimension, and also seems right for the evocation of time and place that are suggested. And, in the end the denouement was most satisfying, bringing events to their relative conclusion within the realms of both mysticism and reality. A Grand job! Keep up the good work, Gracie. Kindest regards, Eric."
Cost of Revenge
"Cost of Revenge reads as an epic story of war against a backdrop of deception. The Tudors series came to mind as I read the novel. Author Gracie Qu plots a story full of action that keeps the story moving and the characters are well developed. Gracie Qu is a true storyteller with a bright future ahead!"

Cost of Revenge
"Hi Gracie, your book is a fast read, lots of action, fire, swords and fighting atop horses and on the ground. Your Story and Plot are developing in unison, bad dreams that haunt your main character, opens the story to another twist and development continuing.......... one suggestion: You might think about the editing process a bit more, I always try to read my books out loud so I can hear my mistakes.......and it really helps.......sometimes our minds work faster than we can write. Good Story, try to work on the Punctuation and Grammar, spelling etc........otherwise Gracie, a big hit for you...... william elliott kern"
Good read.
"I am currently on chapter 10 but I am enjoying the story so far. I like the concept of the story, the idea of revenge makes it more interesting and gives the characters some good motivation. Overall, the spelling and grammar is good which makes it easy to read. I think it could maybe be improved in some places by adding a bit of detail about the surroundings and the experiences of the characters, e.g. what can they see/hear/smell etc? What does their surroundings look like? Is it warm/cold/rainy etc? This would fill in the world a little more and make it easier to imagine. I am excited to see how this story turns out, I will keep reading :)"
Inspiring
"Where to begin. Truly inspiring writer. Moving and mesmerizing. Hope this world never becomes filled with revenge like that. Great read. I highly recommend this book to all. Covers many genres."
Brilliant, Fast-Paced Must Read
"This story was brilliant. One minute I found myself on page 18, the next on page 23. It was hooking, well written, intriguing and told by a brilliant narrative style. The grammar was almost flawless too, so I definitely recommend this book. Supreme read!"
Re-Read it people!
"I absolutely love this book, even though I've read only a few chapters. I'm hooked and that's a huge thing considering that I'm a picky reader. The character development helps the story become even more dramatic. I would totally recommend this book."
Great read
"This book is a great read, its in depth characters are well rounded and likeable. The entanglement of the characters really sets the scene for an unfolding drama and makes it hard to choose a side. A great saga!"
Wow!
"This should be a movie! Keep up the great work!"
A Worthy and Gripping Scandal
"Black-haired and green-eyed Dominic yearns to be accepted within the ranks of his blond-haired and blue-eyed comrades in the Kingdom of Gelbraun. That is, until he learns of his long gone homeland of Gwyumm, destroyed by the very kingdom he fights for today. I thoroughly appreciate the plot and all of its elements. I was immediately drawn in by the social structure/division and the ways in which the kingdom controlled it's people. There was a very subtle "dumbing down" that I feel is a parallel of the real world today ..."thick books meant great detail, and details meant knowledge, and knowledge could bring destruction." I would have liked to see more internal struggle, though, after he learned the truth of his history. I feel that would draw the reader closer to Dominic, perhaps invest more emotionally in his story. It may also create a greater emotional pull at the end once all is said and done (trying to not spoil). The action and adventure were spot on, though. I would've also liked to see more mystery surrounding Larissa, who definitely added extra dimensions to the plot. For writing style, I'd like to see more consistent era language and scene building (ex. "weakly, she grabbed his shirt..." perhaps he was wearing a tunic or frock), and in the first three chapters or so it was a little difficult determining who was who.. All in all, I LOVED the story and I am so happy that you have seen it through to the end."
Powerful
""Cost of Revenge" by Gracie Q is such a great read. The language used, the world built in her fantasy, and the many plot aspects will keep you reading for hours. Readers will find themselves completely emerged in the story and rooting for characters like Dominic and Cassidy. Both of them are very strong, relatable characters that keep readers eager to see them progress in the story as they read through chapters. Gracie Q will keep you guessing as to who will live, die, and what will happen next in the plot. That's a sign of a great novel, and you really shouldn't miss out on reading it!"
Impressive
"Since the start, when I got this image of Brad Pit stabbing that big brute in the neck during his time on set for the movie Troy, I was hooked. I have read few adventure novels that have a great action hook in the first few chapters, but this one truly delivers. Sucks you in and keeps you reading!"
