When I wrote the first book in the Behind Closed Eyes series, I knew Eleanor’s story was far from over. Chapter 2 picks up immediately where we left off, diving deeper into the psychological maze that has become her reality. This installment explores the uncomfortable spaces between victim and accomplice, captor and protector, justice and vengeance.
As always, this book contains mature themes, including psychological manipulation, captivity, violence, explicit sexual content, and morally ambiguous characters. Please be aware that this installment contains graphic, intimate scenes that are integral to the psychological development of the characters and their complex relationship. Eleanor’s journey forces us to confront difficult questions about the nature of monsters—and whether sometimes we need them.
