Bloom of the Labubu

Summary

In the Twined Realms, where the Luminous Veil and the Withered Fold bleed into each other, the Labubu live hidden — shapeshifting tricksters born of moon-blooms and mischief. But when the predatory Dustbleed Court sets its sights on them, seven unlikely Labubu must survive a chase across realms, haunted forests, cursed lakes, and warlock carnivals. Bubbles hides guilt behind illusions, Grumbles shields softness with thorns, Crisp carries fire and unspoken scars, Echo borrows voices to belong, Jinxie leaves chaos in her wake, Thunk walks backward through time, and Aurelia — long lost, hiding in fairy form — holds a royal magic that could save them all. Their flight leads them into the territory of the Hollow Kindred elves, who fear Labubu chaos but need their magic to build a living Wall against the Court. Alliance is forged in thorn and bone — but the battle will test loyalties, unearth buried truths, and spark something deeper between Crisp and Aurelia. Playful, haunting, and heart-bound, Labubu Bloom is a tale of survival, strange magic, and finding home in unexpected hearts.

The Labubu Compendium

📜 The Labubu Compendium of the Seven

As transcribed by Elder Petal Vire, keeper of the Bloom-lore, three moons after the Wall was raised.

🌈 BUBBLES – “The Performer Who Won’t Cry”

Ah, Bubbles. Our brightest light and slipperiest shadow. If you’ve ever seen an illusion so convincing you doubted your own fur, odds are Bubbles was behind it. Iridescent coat, drama scarves, and those tell-tale memory-bubbles orbiting their head — pop one and you’ll smell the truth they’re hiding. Quick with wit, quicker with deflection, they’ll turn any serious talk into a performance before you can blink. Bubbles makes friends easily, keeps them at a safe distance, and will one day learn that the only magic worth keeping is the kind you don’t hide from.

🌺 GRUMBLES – “The Thorn Who Hurts to Love”

Red-orange fur like autumn’s last fire, eyes like cracked embers — Grumbles can wound with a look before they ever draw a thorn. They’ll tell you closeness is dangerous, and they’ll prove it by pushing you away… even when you’d stay. Beneath that armor is an artist, a sculptor of flower-anatomy who pretends they don’t care what you think. If Grumbles stands beside you in battle, know you’ve been chosen. If they tend a plant in your name, know you’re loved.

🪶 CRISP – “The Burned Blade”

Silver-furred, fire-striped, with a burn-scar that shifts hue with mood — Crisp carries fire like some carry grief. He rarely speaks, but when he does, it’s to cut through noise like a well-placed flame. Raised by witches, tempered by loss, Crisp has learned that fire can protect as well as destroy. To be in his trust is to be under his shield. To be in his heart is to find the calm at the center of the storm.

🌕 ECHO – “The Voice Thief”

Pale as moonlight, ribboned ears catching every sound, Echo has a way of speaking in your voice before you’ve finished the thought. Born to silence in an echo-cave, she learned to fill the emptiness by becoming what others needed to hear. It’s easy to forget the danger in that — that if you only echo, you risk never being yourself. But when Echo chooses her own words, the world will stop to listen.

🎠 JINXIE – “The Smiling Curse”

Night-sky fur, starlight hair, and a trail of cheerful disasters — Jinxie is both the luck you didn’t know you needed and the accident you can’t believe you survived. Born under a cursed comet, she learned young that joy and ruin often walk paw-in-paw. Don’t underestimate her. She may be laughing while the world tips, but when the moment calls, her chaos hits exactly where it’s needed.

🦇 THUNK – “The Oracle Who Lives Backwards”

Black-glass fur, wings like velvet midnight, and eyes in places you wouldn’t expect — Thunk remembers tomorrow better than he recalls yesterday. He speaks in riddles, forgets your name, and then tells you how your story ends. It’s unsettling. It’s also more useful than you’d think. Trust Thunk when he tells you to duck. Don’t ask why until after you’ve done it.

🌟 AURELIA – “The Bloom That Hid”

Golden fur traced with petal-shadows only the moon reveals, Aurelia carries the weight of royal bloodline magic. Once thought lost, she lived years in fairy form, silent and unseen, until trust found her again in the most unlikely way. Her shifting is flawless, her patience measured, her gaze as sharp as her thorns when drawn. Aurelia knows the cost of hiding — and the strength it takes to stop. Stand beside her, and you will stand in the company of someone who chooses her battles… and her people.

✍️ On the Seven as One

They are a tangle of contradictions: prankster and prophet, thorn and fire, mimic and chaos, crown and secret. Alone, each is a story; together, they are the Wall that stands between our Bloom and the Fold. If you hear their names, listen well. If you see them pass, offer shade. And if you find yourself fighting beside them… hold the line.

Character introduction is important, I like it when people resonate with a character and then "BOOM" there is sometimes an unexpected twist.
