I sit on the wet grass.

I sit on the wet grass.

I feel the wind's cold hand against my skin, as the sun kisses my cheeks.

Love songs ring in my ears and my body sways to the rythm, like auburn leaves in the wind.

I think back to the endless darkness. The darkness that captured me. The darkness that was supposed to be my end.

But now theres a girl in the midst of that darkness. Her metal filled smile reminds me that there is beauty in the world.

She rips me out of the darkness in her brown boots.

I sit on the wet grass. Now the darkness is gone. Only the light and her name is left.
