Bella Hartley possesses ‘all’ of the ‘mermaid abilities’ due to having undergone the transformation at the young age of nine. She has strengthened her abilities over the years and discovered how to develop new ‘powers’. Not to mention, she went through the transformation ′alone’. Cleo, Emma, & Rikki went into the moon pool together; hence, why their gifts were ‘shared’ among them. Bella discovered a moon pool in Ireland by herself; hence, why she possesses more abilities than Cleo & Rikki. I hope that explains a few things...
As we all know, vampires can’t go out into the sun without ’sparkling, right? Well... In this story, Carlisle (being the genius he is) was able to create a ‘serum’ that prevents their crystalline skin from reacting to direct sunlight, so they are no longer forced to live in the rainiest towns to ever exist. Hence, how they’re able to move to sunny Australia. :) YAY!
Obviously, our precious Edward (love him so much) is a mind-reader. However, he isn’t exactly able to read the mermaids’ minds. The frequency is ‘fuzzy’. He has no problem reading Lewis’s mind (of course), but there’s something blocking Edward from reading his thoughts when it comes to Bella, Cleo, and Rikki. This will all be explained as the story progresses.
This story won’t be in ‘chronological order’ of the show H2O: Just Add Water. I will be tweaking things quite a bit, just so you all are aware. I LOVE writing crossovers, and I am super excited to merge our beloved Twilight characters into the magical world of H2O!
WARNING: This will be a MATURE story (which is why I aged up the characters a smidge). There WILL be SEXUAL content, so read at your own discretion. I’m a big fan of writing smut, so if you’re not into that sort of thing, please don’t read. :)
