Ich hätte niemals gedacht, dass sich aus einer so kleinen Idee etwas entfalten könnte, was mir nun so viel bedeutet. Angefangen hat alles mit dem Gedanken, ein Buch schreiben zu wollen, doch nicht nur irgendeines - sondern etwas großes, episches, emotionales und fesselndes. Etwas, dass die Leser weinen, lachen, die Zeit und die Welt vergessen und den Atem anhalten lässt.

Diese Geschichte ist nicht perfekt, vielleicht nicht einmal gut. Doch sie muss erzählt werden, denn sie ist mein absolutes Herzensprojekt.

Den ersten Band dieser Trilogie schrieb ich noch nicht einmal in drei Monaten herunter - nur, um ihn dann komplett zu überarbeiten und fast die gesamte Handlung noch einmal abzuändern. Noch immer bin ich nicht zufrieden mit dem Anfang, doch ich kann versichern, dass es nur besser werden kann. Es hat deutlich mehr zu bieten, als es auf den ersten Blick scheint. Diese Geschichte wird einige unvorhersehbare Wendungen annehmen, die ich sehr gespannt bin, euch zu zeigen - Deshalb bleibt dran!

In einem Leben, dass Jahrhunderte zurück liegt, gehörte ihre Seele der Drachenprinzessin. Dem Mädchen, das heute nur noch eine Legende ist, und dem Mädchen, das der unsterblichen Königin Nuldrih alles bedeutete. Fünf Jahre ist es nun her, dass sie Vox an ihren Palast aufgenommen hat und ihr ein Versprechen gab: sie zu beschützen. Doch Vox ist ein Mensch, und darum wird sie nie eine Drachenkriegerin werden können. Die Magie hat ihre Grenzen, und nur die Stärksten überleben. Dass sie die Ausnahme ist in einem System, das auf Macht und Selektion beruht, fällt nicht nur ihr selbst auf - Und ihr wird klar, dass es nie um sie gegangen ist. Denn die Königin hat ihr Versprechen längst gebrochen, und das nicht freiwillig. Die Drachenkönigin ist in Gefahr. Ihre Magie stirbt - Und die Rebellion erwacht zum Leben. Angetrieben von dem letzten lebenden Magier der einzigen Blutlinie, die mächtiger ist als die Drachenmagie, und einem Krieger, der sich das zur Waffe machen will. Vox soll ihn töten, als Beweis ihrer Loyalität. Doch auf ihrer Mission wird sie nicht nur mit ihren Zweifeln, sondern ihrer eigenen Vergangenheit konfrontiert. Denn sie ist nicht durch Zufall für diese Mission ausgewählt worden. Im Reich der Drachen sind Tod und Verrat alltäglich. Und plötzlich ist Vox nicht mehr die behütete Prinzessin, sondern ganz auf sich allein gestellt.
