Chapter 1
It was the year 2800.
The world outside was glowing pink — pink cars sliding across magnetic roads, pink drones humming above rooftops, pink holograms floating in the air. Everything belonged to PINK, the company that controlled life itself.
Inside his living room, Lasset lay on the floor, breath fading, vision shaking like a broken screen. He didn’t know what hit him. One moment he was watching the news, the next his entire body felt like it was shutting down from the inside.
His heartbeat slowed. His fingers went numb. His ears filled with a soft ringing, like a machine powering down.
He tried to call out.
Nothing came out.
His wife, Liana, rushed toward him — but her face didn’t show fear. No panic. No tears.
Just… calm.
Too calm.
Behind her, a man Lasset had never seen before stepped into the room. Smiling. Relaxed. Like he belonged there.
Liana turned to him — and smiled back.
Lasset’s vision blurred. The world dimmed. His last sight was the two of them, standing together, happy… as if he was already gone.
Then everything went black.
And the floor beneath him disappeared.
