Prologue
For thousands of years, mankind has been at war with each other. Nations seeking control of different lands scattered about earth. Every war humanity has ever written into its history was never truly their own. Behind every invasion, rebellion and battle stood the influence of the gods, using nations as pawns in their endless war for faith. Humanity believed it was fighting for land, power and control , never knowing that every drop of blood was spilled for a war far older than themselves. Every pantheon believed its gods were the truest of gods. Every faith was a weapon. Every worshipper, a source of power because belief gives them divine strength. The more humanity worshipped, the stronger the gods became. So they fought. Pantheons were destroyed. Their temples, abandoned. Their names were forgotten as their followers vanished and when a god lost the last of its believers... Their Faith died. But death was not the end. The forgotten gods were cast into a realm beyond the mortal world. The Godgrave. A place where the dead gods remained, stripped of their worship, their title and their power
As the centuries passed, many pantheons fell into darkness. Yet four remained. Four great faiths still stood. The Greek, Norse, Japanese and Egyptians. All wanting the same thing. Humanity's faith. Not to protect it or save it… but to own it. Because whoever controls humanity's faith controls its power. And whoever controls that power… controls the mortal world.
