Summary

Kiegen has everything money can buy-an expensive private school, a huge house, and a father who spoils him with anything he wants. What no one knows is that his dad suffers from severe paranoid episodes that can turn frightening fast. When he's himself, he's loving and generous. When he isn't, Kiegen never knows if he'll be locked in his room, accused of something he didn't do, or looked at like a stranger. Kiegen keeps it secret because his dad is sick, not cruel. Then one accidental text connects him with a sarcastic stranger. What starts as a funny wrong-number exchange slowly becomes something Kiegen relies on more than he wants to admit. As things at home get worse, the jokes turn into questions. Then, after fleeing one of his father's worst episodes and wrecking his car, Kiegen has no one he can safely call. Except the stranger who was never supposed to answer. Still there? Where else would I be? I need help.
