"Wow, I am currently reading this and will be updating this review when I have finished, but so far I am in love it! I love the writing style and plot, this is a very professional novel and you can tell the author has put a lot of time and thought into this. I should being doing homework now but I am finding it so hard to put this down! I saw some critiques about the longer than usual prologue but it was so fascinating to read I did not mind the length at all. I cannot wait to see the story goes!"
Sheer Brilliance
"Few books can boast the magnitude of awesomeness that A Silent Game of Spies does. It's on a level all its own. I feel compelled to point out that it's awesome in size as well, so be sure to set some time aside but it will definitely not disappoint. Kings, queens, princes, princesses, warriors, commoners, battles to satisfy the bloodthirsty, romance to satisfy the lusty, and sub-plot after sub-plot to keep you guessing at the outcome. You will love the incredible world the author created, extremely in-depth and detailed. The character development is impressive - you really get to know them personally, even the antagonists. The ending was fantastic - and it's only Book 1. I can't wait for Book 2 to come out. You definitely want to read A Silent Game of Spies!"
Epic Fantasy Masterpiece!!!
"Let me start by saying this enormous tale grabbed my attention and never lost it. This is a book to rival J.R.R. Tolkein or George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones), and while there is no magic in it, it is truly magical. What an epic adventure! So many plot twists - just as I grew accustomed to one, another one I didn't predict took its place. Characters and character relationships are definitely the author's strength. I really grew attached to several of the characters, and others I really hated - the villains are truly wicked. World building is another strength - there are countries that are fully fleshed out and three dimensional - castles, towns, geography, militaries, clergy. I am in awe at the sheer amount of detail in this book. Royal politics ran rampant throughout the entire book, keeping me on the edge of my seat, while forbidden romance heated things up. The author has a splash of everything in this book, kings, queens, princes, princesses, warriors, even pirates. This is a truly amazing book - it should be a bestseller."
Amazing
"A Silent Game of Spies is an exceptionally well-written story. At first, the chapter count can seem overwhelming but if you're someone who likes to binge read fantasy than this is perfect for you. The author, Brittanny Davis is phenomenal at creating and developing her characters. Unlike most authors who do well at developing their lead character but neglect the supporting cast, Mrs. Davis shares the love to the rest which adds to the story overall, giving the fantasy more life. I must admit, at the time of this review I'm only on Chapter 35, Selby. As I stated earlier the chapter count can be overwhelming but personally, I couldn't stop reading once I finished Prologue III. I can say without a doubt once I've completed A Silent Game of Spies I will begin Winds of Change simply because I enjoy the intricate fantasy the author is able to weave. Lastly, my only gripe with the story would be to break the larger chapters up into smaller digestible pieces. That, however, is just my personal preference and in no way shape or form takes away from this beautiful fantasy. PS Mrs. Davis, if there is a hardcover of A Silent game of Spies please send me the link I would love to buy a copy for myself. PPS So far Luvian is my favorite :p"
A very deep, epic and intruiging fantasy.
"I'm only about 200 pages in but I already love this novel. The characters, the dialogue, the worldbuilding...The amount of perfection and attention to detail is all so awe inducing that I can't help but gape. The author is incredibly talented, I cannot wait to venture on in this series. The only thing I can say is that I have to write some of the characters down as to not get confused, but this novel is tome Game of thrones, Tolkien kind thing!"

But, the reward of taking on and committing to this thoroughly engaging, engrossing and exciting piece of literary masterpiece far outweighs the upfront investment of sorting through the many seemingly disparate threads that dominate much of the first act of the story. Davis proves herself to be a genius world-builder and crafter of memorable, lovable and relatable characters. Her attention to detail, both deep in her description of specific aspects of the conspiracy across her world and wide in the comprehensiveness of the many layers she captures boggles the mind, belying either some super-human, in-depth education on the subject matter or one of the most thorough research efforts I’ve witnessed. Felt like reading an old folk tale
"If you love the works of J. R. R. Tolkien (Lord of the Rings) or any medieval story to that extent, then this book right here is for you, it brilliantly captivates the feeling of the medieval times and the plot, by far, is amazing."
A great adventure!
"I loved this book. It was raw and real, and you got to connect on a personal level with the characters. There was a great cast, and the reader really got to see growth from them throughout. There was even a great cast of supporting characters to help guide the readers through the goings-on in other parts of this world, and it really brought everything together. The detail was great and the actions and reactions were believable and well written, even down to the varied speech reflecting each character's education level and from where they hailed. A once-over might not be a bad idea since there were some parts where you could tell two ideas came together about the right word or phrase, and then both ended up on the page. This is an easy fix, and it'll make this even sharper. All in all, I absolutely recommend this to fantasy lovers! -Author of Hollow's Charge"
Good story!
"When I started the book I was a little overwhelmed with everything that was happening and all the many characters involved. But I quickly discovered none of that mattered because they are all woven together into a complex dynamic that plays out over the whole book. The main thing, and this is important, with such a character-driven story is how they are written. Each person is fleshed out and enjoyable to read, even the bad guys, and how they all interact with one another. Honestly, the dialogue alone makes this story worth the read. I look forward to reading more from this author."

"We have a bestseller on our hands. You'll hang on every word and you better stop whatever you're doing because you aren't gonna want to put this book down once you've started. A brilliantly crafted roller coaster. I'm not quite sure why this hasn't hit shelves yet but I hope it does in the near future. Absolutely wonderful."

A Masterfully Woven Tale
"Not only is A Silent Game of Spies highly entertaining, but it is also brilliantly constructed. This medieval tale is chalked full of the most colorful characters who all have a distinct role to play in the imminent war that is on the horizon. While there are a lot of moving parts to this story, I never felt overwhelmed with information, on the contrary, each chapter adds to the overarching story being told. The chapters are short and concise (after the first which introduces the story), while the characters in each are so unique the reader has no problem picking up on whose tale is being told. There is such a nice cadence throughout the book, as the stories of each character begin to collide with each other. The writer creates such intrigue with each subplot that a reader just has to know what happens next. There are several heroes in this book you can't help but cheer for, while there are plenty of villains that will make your skin crawl. Davis has mastered the art of character development and that's what makes this story one you don't want to miss. My favorite character is Selby, a young and inexperienced queen who soon proves herself to be worthy of the crown she inherited. With her character and many others, there is a realness that is tangible. The reader is shown both their strengths and their weaknesses, and this intimate look at their lives not only allows the reader to really get to know each one, but it also prompts them to empathize with them. This is a masterful tale that is well worth anyone's time."

It was a little hard to get into at first because of the long prologue (I might suggest splitting it into two or three beginner chapters), but once I got into it I couldn't put it down. The author wrote clear, distinct descriptions of everything, and it was like watching a movie in my head. Bravo!"

"I found the writing style to be excellent. The dialogue is very readable and believable, something that can be super hard to manage, and the characters are well developed. I liked the plot a lot but based on what publishers have told me, I would shorten the chapters, especially the first one, so as to rope the reader in. It's not hard to do without losing the essence of your story. Congrats! Dan"

"This story has a great plot, supported strongly by very well drawn characters. Luvian was, in my opinion, one of, if not, the best developed character and felt very real to me as a character. I really like how you focus in on a different character each chapter and how their stories tie together.The dialogue is smooth and realistic, and I really like the use of colloquialism in the character's exchanges. It makes it feel very real. Fantastic read, best of luck in getting it published :)"
An enthralling read!
"Let me start by saying that this book got me hooked! Initially, I was a bit concerned about the number of chapters but once I got some insight of all the characters, I instantly found a connection building with most of them. The writing style is so amazing that you feel as though the characters are a part of the real world or you're a part of theirs. The plot - albeit slow, in the beginning, turned out to be great after a few chapters. Honestly, I've got a few ships sailing too. And that's not normal for me to have a favorite otp in one of the unpublished novels - so that's how beautifully crafted this novel is. The world building is commendable as well. I really hope this book gets published because it has got a lot of potential."
A Book to Savour
"This was a really enjoyable book to read. Characters are complex and finely drawn, their interactions very realistic and the world they inhabit very real. It is a book in which you can immerse yourself, carried along by a prose style which is clear and accessible. It is a novel which develops slowly but lingers long in the mind. A fine beginning to what I anticipate will be a very good novel. My congratulations to the author. Update: I've now read 80 chapters of this book and have decided to edit my review, upgrading it to five stars across the board. This a very fine piece of work indeed. It is a monumental achievement and I have every intention of reading every wonderful chapter."
