New Roomate

Buzz Buzz.

"One minute," Lena muttered as she rubbed her eyes. "Who is it?"
"I'm your new room mate. We talked on the phone last week?" The guy replied in an amused tone.
"Yeah Yeah come on up."
Lena buzzed the guy up and rubbed her eyes. She had spent the whole night and half the day watching TV and reading books. Her dark red hair was messed up and she had light circles under her eyes. Lena started to pick up the books and place them back in order on her wall bookshelf. There was a bundle of blankets on the couch and tea cups all over. Soon after she set the teacups in the sink and put the books back there was a knock on the door.
"Come on in, doors unlocked." Lena called as she burrowed back into the pile of blankets.
"Okay? Wh-" A guy with black hair and brown eyes says as he walks towards the girl watching Thor.
"Shhhh I'm watching TV." Lena whispers.
The man sets his backpack down and sits in a recliner. He looks uncomfortable but could care less. His eyes switch between the girl and the TV. His eyes analyze every move, every facial expression, every inhalation of breath she takes when something happens. As the movie ends he watches as her eyes began to water but then she looks over at him and narrows her eyes.
"Have you been watching me? Nevermind that. I'm Lena. Lena is short for Elana but call me that and i will murder you in your sleep."
"That's hilarious." The stranger chuckled back.
"And why is that?" Lena demanded almost falling off the couch.
"The fact you are threatening to kill Death, himself."
Lens looked up at him with wide eyes and fell off the side of the couch in the process. Death looked at the trembling girl and sighed.
"Don't worry I won't take you. Can't now that I took you off the list." Death watched as the girl tilted her head to the side in confusion.
"Okay then... But I'm not going around calling you death."
"Call me Cameron." Death replied.
"Alright." Lena yawned.
"Why are you yawning? Did you not sleep?"
"I was busy watching TV and reading."
"Well I am going to set up my room." Death replied awkwardly and left the room.
"This will be fun."

Obsidian: I liked the story. It was great in its own way. I'm the type that likes the night clubs, the cities, the dark allies. It might be a little on the light side for me (the other side would be the dark side) but overall, its a good read. Also, a little short, but as a writer who tends to rush things mys...

Blue: Over 120 pages and still no real storyline, or even clear exposition. Constant allusion to "hidden" meanings and feelings. Having said that, the potential is there, but the next chapters need to start making a point quickly - right now it feels that the author doesn't actually know where the story i...
