Clever, Thoughtful and Provocative

"The Artemis of the Dodekatheon Saga by J. Alleyn Winchester is a clever fantasy melding of Ancient Greek and Roman mythology with Roman Catholicism, touching on themes of racism, diversity and equality. The Artemis of the Dodekatheon Saga is an entertaining and thought provoking read for 18+ young adults. After saving humanity from itself, the Graceo find themselves bound by human intolerance, resulting in the children of mixed heritage, the Xenoi (aptly meaning foreigner), being forced into sterilization. The Artemis of the Dodekatheon Saga is the story of Artemis’ search for truth and equality in a world where gods live amongst mortals."

Throw in Greek Mythology and I'm hooked!

"Loved this book! I was mesmerized! Thank you. I loved the plot and the different religions/beliefs that were put together. You wrote it in such a way, that there would be no need for anyone to be offended for whatever they may believe in (something many authors lack, as I find their beliefs in life are always strong in fantasy books, and it shows), but you were neutral and it was captivating. I loved the characters. They were well defined and the plot was not overwhelming with floods of too much information. This was a great read and anyone who loves Greek/Roman mythology should definitely check out this book!"

A Fantastical Whirlwind of Action

"In a society threatened by a dangerous power struggle spanning across generations, Princess Artemis flees for her life and crosses paths with the kind David Fallon and many others along the way throughout the twists and turns of her journey. This tale of adventure places emphasis on conflicting prophesies heavily influenced by Greek and Roman mythology but also includes Catholicism as part of the mix, making for an interesting but cohesive blend of traditions and beliefs. The successful intermingling of belief systems creates a duality of perspectives that can appeal to religious people and mythology lovers. With a well-thought-out and skillful pacing, this story is a treat for those wanting to indulge a love for fantasy. Artemis, The Dodekatheon Saga is a fusion of lore that is complex enough to hold interest with its high-action plot but possesses a flow that feels quite natural and enables the reader to lose themselves in the plot, swept up and carried away by memorable characters coping with thrilling circumstances."

Artemis, the Dodekatheon saga

"If you want to read a book about Greek mythology with a completely different plot twist, this is definately the book for you!! Strong characters, mystery, quests and a lot of drama that has your adrenaline pumping at all times!! I love the way that the Greek panteon clashes with catholism in a way that makes it seem absolutely normal!! I also love the way that the greek mythology/pantheon mixes with the roman mythology!! Its a very well thought work and it clearly seems that the author has put a lot of hard work onto it!! Keep going!! P.S. Review for a book about Greek mythology by a Greek 😉😉"

Artemis

"What a great story so far. I loved the characters and you made me feel as I was in Artemis's shoes. You write beautifully. Although their were only two spelling corrections that needed fixed, I still gave you a five since I know you will fix these. Great writing and I can't wait to read more."

Interesting intermingling of lots of different mythologies

"It is very clear that serious research into different mythologies went in to writing this story. I do wish that we had a few more Roman names to go along with Diana as I was confused in the beginning the difference between the character Artemis and the Goddess Diana as I know that she is the Roman version of Artemis. The story is fast paced and it is truly a feat to combine both Greco-roman and Judeo-christian characters into one cohesive story. I do wish a little more time was spent with explaining the world and central conflict. Overall a great job"
