Sunshiney Expectations!

" Kiara Suns’ world was turned upside down the day she lost her family fortunes to an unscrupulous CEO manager. Once known as the unofficial Princess of the Sunshines Hotel Chain, she now finds that she must prove her worth through ordinary means; college, business sense and hard work. Deep down Kiara doesn’t mind. She had secretly disapproved of unearned wealth and is pleased to be in a position to establish her own company on her terms. That is until she meets Jeremiah Diamond who threatens to overthrow her world once again. Gorgeous and with intimidating wealth Jeremiah is intent on making Kiara his. But is this what Kiara really wants? To once again be tied to someone else’s wealth while her identity is swallowed up by the Diamond Brand Name? Nice romance story staring realistic people. I like the well-developed character of Kiara. Her chatty friend Adrienne seems to have a life of her own with Ricardo. (I was grateful to see she’s not the stereotypical, gay best friend who’s only purpose is in the story is to prepare the main character for dates.) An enjoyable read about a lovely romance. "

Spunky!

"As a woman who loved a spunky female character, this was just the book that brought that. Of course, dialogue tags were a bit necessary in some places, we all make mistakes so don't even sweat it. You brought the spunk and I am living for it. Your plot was going well and I have to say high five to you. Your character development was astonishing and beautifully executed. It was life-like and it really made me wonder if this is your attitude as well, hehe. Your story structure needed a little work, but as authors, we are bound to always hear this or read this, or better prepare ourselves for this at times you get so frustrated with it. I challenge you to better yourself in your next work. As always, a great job well done, and I have to say good luck. Sorry for the late review!"

Great Job

"I really enjoyed this read, I personally don't mind slow stories, and I love details so this was perfect for me. I would say some parts were unnecessary so I do suggest going over it one more time to filter out those bits. Other than that, I really enjoyed it. Good job :)"

Interesting story

"I read about half of it and I find it curious in some way while in other, it was boring. Too much details which I wasn’t interested in, while on the other hand, main characters are written in totally opposite way. Sometimes I was confused and other time, it was perfectly clear. And I couldn’t find out, why did you write it that way. It is a good book, and I am sure, there are people who will think about it as amazing :) for me, it is nice work, but it needs a little editing touch :) "

Slow Going

"I am having a hard time staying with this one. So much of this is about Kieran and Adrienne. Too many details of how she takes a shower and gets dressed. This book consists of a lot of details, but not much substance to keep me intrigued. I can say it was nice to hear a real black voice in the narrative. I can relate to the tone and candor! Great job in that regard."

Good...but

"I managed to read as far as chapter six and had to stop as it got too frustrating to finish. The structure of dialogue mixed with the narrative took the joy out of the story for me. There were times when it was impossible to tell who was speaking, or if it was meant to be narrative instead. Dialogue tags weren't always associated with the dialogue as per standard dialogue rules. Often the dialogue contained two characters in the same paragraph. The character development was wonderful. The relationship of the main character with her best friend, her family, and her date was believable and fun. Now, if you could have your narrative written in Standard English the dialogue would 'pop' even more. It would improve the story's flow a great deal. If you want to appeal to a larger audience this is a must. There are many examples of words that aren't used appropriately given their context. This story really needs to be edited to remove unneeded words, correct grammar, and punctuation. This story will be a winner if those items presented above are addressed. I would very much like to finish reading this story and will surely do so in the future if corrections are made. It is a great effort."
