Time After Time ...

" This review pertains to the first two chapters only. How does one handle the guilt of not being there for a loved one? And if not being there caused the death of your lover? Joanna does her best to continue in a world without her girlfriend. But she is haunted by the memories of Carra, the only woman she had ever loved. The author Kei Angelus cleverly weaves Joanna’s struggle with acceptance of loss through Joanna’s own fictiin story about Lauren. She wonders and is concerned about Lauren the same way she wonders about Carra, and is unable to come to a conclusion about either relationship ...an interesting analogy. There were some small grammatical errors but nothing that stops the flow of the story. A painful love story which may have some hope for Joanna in the end."

Congratulation for ur Accomplishment

"I was actually speed reading the story, because I thought it would be a romance and gotta be honest that I didn't ever really like that particular genre, but after about chapter 10 or something, It actually turns out unexpectedly, and I really like it, only at chapter 6 and 7 was seemed appeared to be the same chapter and the flashback kinda confusing, maybe if you immediately gave me a hint at the first line that it was a flashback I would've been less- confused. But as much as I love traggic and plot twist, the end of the story was pretty much got me. How everything turned black and white as it referred to the world without her is plain and meaningless. Good one keep it up!"

A lovely read

"I loved the developing relationship between Carra and Jo throughout. For me, the story held a perfect balance of 'steamy' and 'romantic'. The plot was fantastic. Impressionable characters, and a nice all around read. Keep it up!"

Perfect Grace

"I love the details put into the main character! It seems like there is a world ahead of him, that he's missing out on! In the very beginning, the flashback confused me a little bit. It took me a few seconds to notice, but I think the break helped. I don't think that would be a big problem though. The writing style was so unique, I don't think I've seen anything like that! Great book, can't wait to read more! Your reader, A Bookworm"

A Splendid Journey

"Story was about a group of people surviving unknown creature apocalypse. But rather than exploring survival situation or any technical mechanism "how is apocalypse", its main focus was to settle down the past regrets and the price it costs, elaborate the insecurity of main character and how it leads them to present time. I like the concept of having two side of story in parallel. It's as if what Jo experienced in the past overlaps or rather.. foreshadowing what had happened in the present and yes the author did it splendidly. Sometimes the first half was meant to confront the second half of a chapter or vice versa until it reach a certain point where the two parts just joined together. I think author could improve the dialogue part and make it easier to keep track who is who when the characters talk to each other. And maybe for better transition from the present to the past. On certain chapter it felt fluid because there's something similar connecting them. But for early chapter and actually most, the transition can be... confusing. The page break did help separate it but that's it. It's often I feel forced to switch perception because there's nothing to relate from the first half into the second. Overall it was a good story with a good concept. Keep it up!"

Time After

"Your writing style is very captivating. Although it is hard to follow who's speaking at times and what's going on. The character voice is realistic; the struggles of a writer. We all know and relate to finding the right/perfect sentence. The characters themselves are very fluid, realistic."

After Time

"You have an interesting concept with potential, it's detailed and descriptive. You may want to fix some of the long paragraphs in chapters 2-4. Good portrayal, interesting past and present perspectives, but you might want to make the transition more clear, maybe use italics. I feel like the characters should have a more emotional reaction to impending doom, the trials, and creatures. You should use dialogue tags more so we can keep up with who is talking. I also feel like the story should be a little less relationship-focused if the apocalypse is coming. Keep up the good writing."

Good concept

"This is an early review based on the first few chapters, but I really enjoy the concept. The writing style and some grammar issues caused me to have to stop a few times, but maybe that’s something that can be addressed in rewrites and edits. Keep it up!"

Interesting!

"This is a review for the first 7 chapters. I will update this once I've finished the book. At first I thought this was solely a story about love and coping with the memories of the past. I was curious why they broke up. Then there's this apocalypse and suddenly, I am not just curious, but also very much intrigued. I wanted to know more about what's happening around them. I wanted more descriptions and insight on how they feel about the whole thing. I understand that Jo and Carra have unsettled romantic feelings toward one another, but I feel like the way they responded to the apocalypse was borderline dismissive, like it wasn't a matter of life and death. I was expecting them to worry about their family, friends, and other loved ones, like how a normal person would if something catastrophic happened to the world. I was expecting fear and panic when they saw blood trails and the wolf-like creature, but they were too chill about it in my opinion. If I were Jo, I would surely still be very aware of Carra's presence, but I wouldn't be too absorbed in my lingering feelings for her if something sinister was hovering above our heads. I think it just needed the right kind of balance in expressing their emotions either through words or body language. I was also quite confused in the beginning as I didn't know the explosions and rumbling actually meant the world was being attacked by some unnatural force. It didn't cross my mind that it was an apocalypse of some sort until they met up outside and talked about going to the city to check on other people. It felt too... casual? I think I was looking for a more intense execution (from the moment she noticed the rumble up to the time they raided the mall and saw the creature), something that would make me feel like what happened was a big deal because it was indeed a big deal. After all, it's not everyday that people vanish and you see blood on the floor, right? I do want to continue reading, though! Because I wanna know what the heck is happening to the world and how Jo and Carra's story will turn out. And maybe they responded to the apocalypse this way due to a reason that I'd find out only if I reach the end of the book. I'm in for the rest of the ride for sure. There are very few lapses in dialogue tags and punctuation, but nothing too glaring. I think I saw some inconsistency with the tenses as well. Overall, I think this is worth reading! Good job!"

Awesome Story❤❤❤

"I love, love, love this book, however I have one issue. Though the novel is great, for most of the starting chapters I was only interested in the back story. I took my time to soak in this book because I had a strong feeling the author had a surprise ending and a strong feeling it would be worth it. My problem, however still remain, I spent about 16 chapters only concerned with the love story and the past while this story is based on both past and present. I feel like it was aimed to be balanced neatly, but that wasn't the case for me. I found that the story was lacking mayhem and panic from the characters, and my biggest concern is that when the explosion happened, I thought, 'what explosion, a bomb, a shooting, fireworks?' I feel like the author should have put more detail into that scene specifically so that it could evoke more feelings from readers to let them know something big and abnormal had happened, I know the protagonist mentioned apocalypse but to me, it felt like wild imagination. I wanted something to make me feel what I felt when Jo got the call. I was swimming deep in the JoCare love struggle when a huge apocalypse was happening, and I honestly couldn't give a damn about it. I started to care about it after it began to affect the JoCare ship that I was so carefully monitoring. Marvelous job smoothing out the ending as to why few people were around and such, cause that was another concern of mine; that and the kid. I somehow knew the kid would come in handy, so that twist I saw. I would add though; maybe it would have been nice to make him a normal kid, but just exaggerate on the crying, it would have had the same effect, and the twist wouldn't have been so obvious. There were a few minor grammar issues, he instead of she and a few sentences that could have been worded better also a few misuses of present and past tense; nothing annoying. Overall truly great book; Loved, loved, loved it. I only wish it had fully captivated me, and I feel that opportunity was missed at the chapter 2/3, explosion/collapse."
