"Had me hooked from the start. Going to get into trouble now as I read it lol I have read the whole thing now and have enjoyed it. It is a bit like hunger games and goblet of fire. With a number of other influences. I is well written and engaging and I am rooting for him to win. I am looking forward to his magic appearing as I am sure it will. Great book. moving on to book two now. Amazing fully recommend."

Great plot

"The plot was just top and i really love the authors writing style, it makes it so easy to imagine the scenario and which is very enjoyable. Needs a bit of editing but most books needs that, i would recommend this book to a sci-fi lover and a reader who absolutely loves adventure"

Awesome

"I really liked the way you introduced the story and quickly set the fundamentals of the world without giving it all away. You also created characters who are intriguing and three-dimensional. There were a few flow/grammar problems, but I could see this going far with a professional editor. I can totally see this on a shelf somewhere."

An epic adventure

"The characters in this story were well thought out, and they helped to create a plot that I found to be wonderful and highly imaginative. There was a great attention to detail, and the author's writing technique left me wanting more. I look forward to book two. "

Interesting story

"The author has presented both the dragon world and the Atlantis quite well. I must say he painted quite well. The language is fine which makes the story more colorful. But, there is something I like to add. In some places, there are descriptions more than needed. For ex, when Draycos was waiting, he explained like what type of belt he was wearing. I don't think it's that important. Anyway, this book has potential to pull the reader. All the best"

Gatekeepers Book 1: Darkness

"I enjoyed the story a lot. Both worlds are very thought out. Atlantis City was interesting and cool because of its background. It made me sad when suddenly the setting changed and I am still curious about what happened there. Sometimes, it took my focus away from the storyline because I badly wanted to know more about the bombing. Here and there were grammar mistakes and sometimes there was a quotation mark lost or suddenly there where it shouldn't be. If the author rereads the story I think they can get those errors out. I also thought sometimes things were overly described. I know dragons have lots of colors but the paragraphs of how they looked were long. It was nice how the thoughts of characters was in cursive. This book has a lot of potential! I am looking forward to the next book. I think this one stops rather abrupt. Maybe it needs a few more chapters? Until Draycos wins or loses the tournament maybe? So I did like this story! But I feel like it has two plots in one with the Atlantic City and dragon world. Good luck with the next books! I will definitely keep reading :) "

Great one.

"It was a great book overall: I enjoyed imagining the book, for once it wasn't the typically normal one but rather a great fantasy to imagine and read. It was actually a very important thing for me to imagine everything I read and that's what I found here. Grammatical mistakes are there and the writer should try to focus on not having them. Overall it's a great plot with nice explanation of characters and ongoing points."

Enjoyable!

"This book was interesting from the start: the characters had very diverse personalities and were enjoyable to read about. The setting was cool too (Atlantis City) and the plot line was exceptional. I really wanted to know what would happen next. For grammar, there was the odd spelling mistake or grammatical error, but that is understandable. The writing style could have been more feeling than explaining. I wanted to know what Draycos thought about the setting, and how he reacts to it more. This is all my opinion, though. Overall, I thought this story was nicely done and could be easily published when run through by an editor. Great work on the first book, and I can’t wait to read the next!"

Beautiful Idea!

"Welcome fellow new writer. As a lover of dragons, elves, and all things fantasy, this got my attention pretty quick. I think you have a strong cool idea that needs a few tweaks to shine through. Here's what I've noticed from reading chapter one. 1. Over-detailed character introductions: You give a detailed description of what Draycos looks like. However, as the reader, I want to know what Draycos is feeling, especially since he is the protagonist. Is he feeling annoyed at having to wait or is this normal? Does he eye the crowds with impatience or does he scan them carefully? I'm more personally curious as to what he's thinking rather than what he's wearing. 2. Nice Dialogue: The dialogue seems good to me, it gives us an insight into Iris's point of view and how Draycos feels about his eyes. Give yourself a gold star, dialogue can be hard. Honestly, though, I wish there was more dialogue with these characters we don't see much from them. 3. Narration Instead of Motion: This kind of connects to point number two. You give us a thoughtful backstory on Atlantis and how Draycos fits into it. The problem is that you give us the information straight. You are narrating the information and therefore taking us away from the characters. Try having Iris and Draycos give us the information through dialogue. I know that might be a challenge but it allows the reader to get info about the world and what the character thinks at the same time. I hope this review helps or at least gives a confidence boost, all writers need one now and then. Remember the worst thing you could do is stop writing, you'll never improve if you don't practice."
