Contest Terms

• The contest will run from Aug 1, 2024, to Sep 30, 2024. Only submissions entered within this date range will be eligible to win.
• Entering the contest is free; all you need to do is start writing your book on Inkitt and submit it on the contest page or from the contest tab in your work settings.
• Stories must meet the theme of Fantasy Worlds to be eligible to win.
• Stories that were completed more than 30 days before the contest start date are not eligible to enter.
• Stories can be brand new, in progress, or completed within 30 days before the contest start date.
• Your story must have at least 5,000 words before the contest end date to be eligible to win. There is no maximum number of words that can be submitted.
• Stories must be original works. No plagiarism will be tolerated.
• Authors cannot enter a contest more than once with the same story, but an author may submit as many books as they want. If authors submit multiple entries, only one of them can win.
• Entries signed to or part of a series signed to or published on Galatea are not eligible to win.
• Stories behind a paid tier under the Subscription program are not eligible to win.
• To be eligible to win, your story must have a primary genre of Fantasy. Your secondary genre can be any other genre as long as your story meets the theme of the contest.
• Winners will be chosen by the popularity and binge-ability of their stories, taking into account likes, comments, number of readers, and other reader behaviors.
• The winners will be announced within the following 3 weeks on Inkitt's social media channels and on the Inkitt Winners page.
