Very Intriguing

"The story hooked me! I was able to catch the main plot instantly! I love this story and may even read more of it. It’s funny because I first I thought Everlyn’s mom had cancer but as I read closer, it turns out that Evelyn had cancer so I read that part wrong! The only criticism I have is that there weren’t enough character descriptions (basically their appearances and personalities). This will really help me get a clear image of the characters and setting. If you find anything in this review to be misunderstood, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me! Your writing style is right on point! A lot of other stories I’ve encountered are just not like that! Good Job! Corey Cole"

A Great Story

"The story is great, and it's filled with so many emotions, be it sad, romantic or funny, you name it. The letters written to Evelyn were poetic and intriguing and as I read to Chapter 11, we could see how sad and tormented the main character is after hearing the news of Evelyn's death which is touching. It's not easy losing someone through death, especially when you had left things on the wrong foot with them and all you are left with is guilt and torment. You portrayed his true emotions over her death quite well. I can't wait to see what's in store for him as the story goes on. Death isn't the end of everything, now, is it? Keep up the good work. "

Unexpected

"I usually don't lean towards this genre, but I am intrigued with the direction this story is taking. Characters are well written and filled with personality, I love the touch of the MC reflecting back on moments he recalls. There's only a few grammar or punctuation issues so it was a very smooth read and easy to visualize what the writer wants you to see. The pacing of this story is done very well. The writer isn't rushing or moving too fast, and it really gives the reader time to acquaint themselves with the characters and the situation. I also appreciate the how relatable the MC is, but that might vary depending on who's reading it. If there's anything that can be improved, perhaps more visual descriptions of the characters to paint a fuller picture? Well done and thank you for the good read. "

A worthwhile read

"Let me preface this by saying that I have mixed feelings about this story, but not for the reasons one might think. My review will start with the negatives, just to get those out of the way so I can give the spotlight to the positives. The story has a few grammatical flaws here and there. Some words that should be capitalized aren't, like the Lay's chips bag. The author has also chosen to write in present tense, which sometimes makes for a more difficult read. Then there's the dialogue, which I found to be unnatural in some parts. Those are my negatives. The positives, in my opinion, outweigh the negatives by a country mile. This is a story about friendship, the fragility of life, and how tomorrow is never promised. It is a deeply moving story that gets you hooked from start to finish, reasonably paced, starring good characters. The fact that it takes place in India, a place sorely underrepresented in English language literature, is a HUGE plus. The author adds many details, both big and small, to give this story that unique Indian local flavor. This alone makes the story a worthwhile read, but then add to that this heartbreaking story? CHEF'S KISS! I applaud this story! Bravo!"

Beautiful potrayal

"I really love the description and the poems! You portrayed Kriyank's emotional conflict really good. I really like Kriyank's character, he seems like a nice guy. (Also, those anime and lays references make the young characters more realistic, love it!)"

"Hey author, it's great to read an Indian story in here as it's my first time seeing one here. Although I'm an Indian I don't usually read Indian books. But yours captivated my mind so much. "

Amazing Story

"The idea of this story itself is very compelling. Also the start to it very involving. The author has a really good compsition of past and present in the chapter with a good pace to it. However, the discription needs to be increased, such as the feelings of the characters. Overall it is a good story that I would recommend. "

Great job!

"I think the author has really beautiful wording and storytelling ability! she creates such amazing characters and their thoughts are so vivid and heart felt. i really enjoy the story and the poems, and your style of wording. i do see a lot of grammar errors, and that would probably be my biggest complaint. This was still a really quick and fun read I totally recommend! "

"It is an idea but it is a good idea and somehow almost like a cinema idea. It made me sense the author's writing is brand new and does need development. As the characters are immature and they do have not much but cheerio on their brain. When they are speaking the main character is comparing licorice. I feel this is a writer who is going to write a good deal of worthy work and then take it into a film."

A Lovely Read

"Hello :) First off, I'd like to say that I love the plot of this book; it's wonderfully original and draws the reader in almost immediately. I also love the poetry/descriptive aspects of this book, and the love letters throughout are also well-written. Good job! I did notice a lot of punctuation/grammar errors, but those can be fixed with a quick editing. Putting in more descriptions of people and places can also add to visualisation when reading, which is a pretty powerful tool! Overall, this book was so fun to read. Well done :)"

Intriguing

"The story has a very interesting concept and I look forward to reading more. What really hooked me were the letters that were sent. I’m a sucker for anything sweet and the poems that went with them were terrific! All in all, I can’t wait to find out what happens next in this story! "

Fluid storyline

"I liked the way the plot was structured as it slowly unraveled the backstory of the main protagonists. Overall, it was quite engaging and fast-paced, peppered with a little humor to uplift the sad bits. Another round of proofreading should take care of minor grammatical errors. Looking forward to the subsequent updates. Great job!"

Beautifully written

"21 Days dives into death, grief, friendship, and love, making you fall into a heartbreaking but beautiful story. The author's writing and prose are good, but the dialogue could be better written. There are also some grammar issues that can be fixed easily. It's hard to picture the character because they are no descriptions, but the author describes the settings and mood beautifully. Characters also are not fleshed out, and it would be great to know more about them, especially the protagonists. "

A really special story

"As someone who has had close friends and family members go through cancer - I think you've written a really authentic piece that captures the confusion and emotions of the people adjacent as they figure out how to be supportive and process their own feelings. I like that you show a male main character experiencing these emotions as well. You do a nice job transitioning smoothly between present, past, and letters. Keep it up, I am eager to continue reading!!"

"I don't usually read books in this genre, so I found it surprising how easily I was engaged. The character names are different for me, but after the third chapter, I got ahold of them. The notes are great puzzle pieces. It's an interesting plot. I'm intrigued to find out where the story goes."
