Preface
In this story, I try to shed light on the challenges faced by young trans people. While I am not trans myself, I know how difficult it can be. They go to school knowing they will be misgendered and addressed with the wrong pronouns, that their new names won't be used, and that they will face strange looks and disrespect. They return home feeling not good enough—feeling different, or unable to live up to others' expectations.
Yet, none of this is their fault. They simply want to live their own lives. No one should dictate how they do that; they are human beings just like us, with the same rights.
Everyone feels differently; everyone is allowed to feel differently. And that's as it should be. Otherwise, we wouldn't be the people we are.
Thanks to the people who don't see the world in shades of gray. It is bright and colorful, and that is precisely what makes our world so special.
