This is a beautiful story. A Must Read.

"Kyle had wings. He and his mother have lived in hiding because he is different. But he wishes to be 'seen' (which I interpreted as accepted) and dreams of leading a normal life, like going to school, which makes him relatable, and I was rooting for him. And he stalks Andrew, on who he has a crush. Kyle's acceptance his attraction is so well written. For a while I wondered if the hidden wings, him being seen as an 'abomination', being hidden away, out of sight, and his urge to fly were a clever analogy. It is possible they're both. The narrative, a mix of Kyle's past and present, the internal introspection of his experiences, is engaging. For me, how he's aware his mum has gone to extremes to protect him is beautifully depicted. His feelings for Andrew and their interactions add more depth to the story. I have read 7 chapters so far and recommend this story to anyone looking for a love story with emotional depth and interesting characters whose conflicts play at the heartstrings. Even the subplot, like his mother rejecting a love interest because of Kyle is handled well. She is not bitter or taking it out on him. Yet Kyle's desire for normalcy is also a testament to the author's ability to show two sides of a picture. He doesn't lash out and understands her reasons. A mature teenager who isn't rebelling as that's what they do was so refreshing. My only suggestion is to clarify the setting. I assumed this was an urban fantasy, hence the mention of the King, which threw me off. I am hoping to find out why Kyle had wings down the line. That mystery has kept me hooked. I can't wait to see where this story goes, and I am rooting for Kyle and Andrew; even Mum finding love. Hat's off to the author. They've written a lovely story, a prefect blend of intrigue, emotions, relatable conflicts, genuine relationships, and lovable characters."

Tale of Ostracization

"When I read this story (and I'm not trying to imply the author stole anything, just wanted to throw this out here)- it reminded me of Nico Di Angelo from Percy Jackson- for those who don't know, Nico is a child of Hades and is essentially an outcast because of that anyway, and at the same time he is also 'outcast' because it turns out he likes men. In a similar vein, I see this theme of double ostracization in this story, in that the main character is an outsider because of who he is and how he was born, and also because of his sexuality. Still, despite a rock road, they do get a 'happy ending' at the end which I enjoyed. The characters are very well-written and I think they're the strongest part of the story, they feel like actual people you could walk down the street and shake hands with and not just words on a page. Regarding technical aspects I don't really have any complaints, there are a few formatting errors and some other minor grammatical issues but they really don't take anything away from the story for me- they're almost completely negligible. Great Gay Metaphor.

"A great novel. In the garb of fantasy, all the struggles of a teenager growing up and like a lightning strike, realising that he feels attracted to boys. First frightening sick and ashamed of himself, then becomes a bully to fight his inner hatred of himself. Sometimes he realises his folly. Most of them don't. There is a real need to teach everyone and all that same sex attraction is nothing new. It is scientifically proven that a person has no control over their sexuality. They are born like that way, period. The innocent angel I empathise with most. But I didn't have a demon in me, so chose celibacy over physical satisfaction. Author can do with a good dose of skilled editing. However I am most aggrieved at its left incomplete. "

"love the authors writing style, and how they use such good words to draw us into the story. And even though there were a few grammar mistakes, this story defiantly makes up for it! 10/10! I also love the plot and can relate to the characters very well!"

Wonderful <3

"To be frank, I didn't expect I'd be THIS hooked to a story to the point that I forget to leave a comment on each chapter. Take it as me being too immersed in your story that I actually forget to make my presence known until I'm at the latest chapter. One. I love how descriptive you are when it comes to what each character is doing. It helps a lot with the imagery. Two. The emotions of the characters are properly conveyed and although there are some punctuation errors I've spotted, it doesn't necessarily interrupt with my reading still, that can be improved. Overall, I love it! "

Beautiful

"It's such an intriguing story. Kyle is a very sympathetic character and you write in such an emotive way, my heart ached along with him. The only thing I would suggest would be to avoid using asterisk to convey something as it can bring me out of my reading bubble. Other than a few minor grammar mistakes this was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Well done :)"

So cute!!

"Such a cute kid Kyle is, I loved his character. He immensely loved his mama and could feel his mama" emotions, aww baby! I loved your descriptions of each scene and how beautifully you portrayed their thoughts and feelings- I, as a reader, felt connected to them, could understand their perspectives and trust me, this is a great achievement for any Author. You accomplished it, well done! However, there are some minor mistakes that can easily be avoided with Grammarly, like it's not farther but "further" . There was a phrase like "..should have gotten", that would sound better if it was "...should have got..." Overall, great work! Everything seemed perfect to me and the plot seemed strong and unprecedented. Wow! Keep writing Author, keep shining:)"

Fantastic!

"Aww!! I love Kyle. I adore your conversationalist writing, its immersive and makes you feel that you are with the protagonist feeling his emotions with him, it draws sympathy; you share frustrations and I absolutely like it. There was a book I read a few years by James Patterson and I was besotted with it and I never thought I would find one similar to it again but then I came across yours and it's filled with just nostalgic bliss so thank you!"
