An interesting read!
"(Still reading, this is based on the first 7 chapters) This is a really interesting read! I figured it'd be a high-school romance with some of the usual teenage drama thrown in for good measure, but I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be different. The author has a good grasp of their characters and has developed them in an interesting way, especially the MC and her friend, Demi. Though Demi did something to betray the MC's trust, she isn't the 'baddie' in the situation, and I like that the author has created this grey area where the characters aren't only good or bad. It's very realistic and makes the story stand out more. The descriptions were also really well done. The author conveys the MC's emotions very well, especially during emotional scenes such as at the graveyard and during the fight scene in the dojo. The first-person narrative is also very well done; usually I find it to be quite robotic and hard to engage with, but that wasn't the case here at all, so props to the author with that. I hope to add more to this review as I read on. Really good job! :)"

"This was amazing! I literally read the whole book in 2 days lol. I stayed up until 4 am last night getting half-way through the book and finished today (would've finished yesterday if fatigue wasn't a thing) I loved every second of it! Thanks for being able to entertain me with this wonderful book! I saw a few grammar mistakes, but those are really easy to fix (you can use grammarly.com if you can't find all of them but you think there are some you missed. It is really really easy to use). As for the story, I loved it! I loved how Hayden changed from an innocent girl to a straight-up don't mess with me badass in a matter of 24 chapters! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! I can't wait for the next update! Great job, Holland! Keep on writing, girl! You're going to be bigger than Stephanie Meyer and J.K Rowling in no time! Don't give up! You have a natural talent and I believe that you will be great (I mean you're great right now, but if you keep working hard on improving, you can be even better!) Best of luck, -Jay"

"Personally, I was hesitant when I read the summary, mainly because I was worried that it was going to be like all the other cliche stories out there. Instead, this author did an amazing job making the plot hers. I love the characters and the way you include different events in the story to keep the reader's attention. There are grammar mistakes that are easy to fix. Lovely story!"

"Holland describes the characters in a very good manner, you feel that you are part of the story. There are only a few grammatical errors which could easily be fixed, so well done on that note! This book is so easy to understand, the character development build-up is very good! The story structure and plot are clear, so it is very fun to read. The characters are so relatable and fun! "I love this story! Holland does an amazing job of making the characters relatable to normal people and it draws you into the story without you even realizing it. I would definitely recommend this book and all of Holland's work to everyone and not just because she's my girlfriend. I've read many of her books before and she never fails to amaze me with her talent. Her writing is so important to her and I love that about her although I have to say I'm a little jealous. But then, real life will never compare to fiction. :) Getting back to 'Fake Love'.... I'm not a huge reader and for sure don't do romance, but I read it because it's Holland's work. And... I never expected to like it as much as I did. I would barely even know it's a romance, there's so many other things in there. It shows that Hayden (main character, for those of you who haven't read it) has a life and it doesn't make her sound all boy-crazed. You can see Hayden and other characters growing throughout the book and that's really cool. The other thing about it is the emotion. You can feel the emotions of the characters as you're reading it. Holland is amazing at that. She was literally sobbing when she wrote the parts where Hayden is heartbroken at Ashton's grave. It's because makes herself a part of the story, and also because many parts of the 'Stardust Series' is based on her real life. She feels every part of her writing and that's why everyone who reads her work falls in love with it. No matter how jealous I get of the time she spends writing, I can never truly be upset because it's part of her dream and she's my hero for that. 🥰"

"This book really stood out to me, unlike some others I've read before. My first impression was "Woah, these characters are so relatable," and they were so much. I think Demi was the most relatable, for me. I can't lie, I'm a slow reader, but once I finished a few chapters I realized that I read SO MUCH. I guess that was just me getting slightly addicted. I love the romance (and Demi). This is such a great book!"
