The plot is amazing, and despite the beginning of the story being a bit overwhelming with all the details, I found it easy and enjoyable to read. "All I can say is WOW! This book has it all! Well developed characters, a unique story line and I liked the world you created. Like the others who had reviewed I also liked all of the cool technology. Your plot is really cool too and I liked how the plot develops as you read. It gets more in depth and you learn along with the characters of what's going on, who is who and I really felt like I was in Adrian's shoes while reading. I am only on chapter 13 but this book is amazing. I am actually reading it because it was recommended to me and all I can say is WOW."
Albatross: The Awakening (by Brittney R. Miller)
"I usually love sci-fi, but I will say that the first chapters were filled with enough details to make it a little overwhelming. With all the different areas and such, it's almost necessary to have a map to keep it all straight. However, once you get to chapter 4 or so, things start making sense and you get wrapped up in the story. Albatross is a brilliantly written book full of mystery and technology that transports you from earth to the alternate area this story is written from.. If you enjoy science fiction, you will almost certainly enjoy this book. Normally I try to give a bit of constructive criticism, but I can't think of anything to say other than the fact that sometimes it gets a little overly detailed and it gets confusing. Other than that, great job and I'm excited to see what happens to the book. I'm sure it's going far."
A Lone Wolf
" This review pertains to the first four chapters only. He dreams of love, of perfection. But he lives in a broken body. His only companions are Jafril and Shadow who are somehow tasked with his care. His own past is a deep mystery even to himself. Is he fully human? An alien perhaps? Or possibly a mixture of a living organism and cold animatronics? He doesn’t know. All he knows is that once was more. And he wants more, an awakening if you will. Though what this awakening ultimately means can come with a huge cost for him and his only companions. I’m not normally into science-fiction. My taste runs more toward horror and romance. But I do know quality when I read it and Brittney Miller is a talented writer. I didn’t note any past-present tense issues in the chapters or what I call ‘jumping head narratives’. (Where were seeing the story from Bob’s perspective and then suddenly were in Alice’s head and then we’re back with Bob’s again. That can be quite confusing.) An engaging story with a very unique protagonist. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Miller’s books in Barnes and Nobles one day. "

I did not spot many mistakes, and I loved it so much that I am going to keep coming back to it. When you want to take a break from the hardships of real life, this is a universe that I'd like to get sucked into, plus I love spaceships! I look forward to reading more of your work."

It’s beautiful, intelligent, and very thorough - especially the character descriptions, which are incredibly detailed and paint a clear image of each character. The world and atmosphere are amazingly detailed and immersive. I especially liked the technology. Sometimes it felt that large chunks of the universe’s history were being explained through monologue, but it didn’t really distract from the story itself, and was altogether very interesting. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care went into this. The author has an amazing talent."
