Well written

"An impressive read. Another creative story story I would highly recommend to others. It was a lengthy read but that suits me as I like long stories but there's some grammar issues that need to be checked through. Your character, pandora felt bland and blank and scared and confused from the beginning but as the story evolves, she garners more sensation, emotion which I think is creative in the way you've taken this myth and altered it your own way. Pan is trying not to be that weak little puppet and through every chapter, you understand that everything is glassy to her as she struggles to fit in with society and herself. Your words of design are wonderful, colorful, vivid and the twist at the end was shocking but leaves a huge room for more of a story. I also loved war, a dreamboat I was getting with a dry sarcastic attitude but steamy as well."

Very Original Sequel to Pandora’s Myth!

"For those looking for something else entirely! The author used the Pandora’s Box myth as a premise for a shocking, adventurous sequel that felt fresh and surprising. In this book the character Pandora gets revolutionized, gets brought up to date and transforms away from the Greek sad puppet that the Pandora in the myth was. And that touched my heart the most! I also liked how meticulous (action) scenes were set, showcasing a high level of attentiveness throughout the book. My own writing is very different and I therefore can’t help but admire/envy your patience in building scenes! Because that is truly not an easy thing to do.😆 Those scenes in combination with some very funny, very mundane intermezzo’s full of witty detail were nothing short of brilliant. As a reader you get thrown from one exhilarating scene into the next, with lots of unexpected, sometimes heart breaking twists and nail biting cliff hangers. Categories adventure and action fit this story, but there’s room for more, like thriller, humor and even a little romance. You can say I was very pleasantly surprised! 😍 "

WOW

"Holy crap! Wow! I'm feeling both emotionally worn down in shock from all that happened! What a thrilling ride that was to read. The few cons I have is that some chapters are a little too long but honestly I couldn't put it down anyway. There were a few grammar errors and lengthy sentences but nothing to take from this story. And some things seemed a little confusing to me but I actually looked up a few things and I love how you've incorporated a lot of history and mythology and twisted it to make it your own. I'm already stuck into this story and this hidden world in the current era. I'm getting a lot of mixed culture and mythologies which I think is so creative, different and intimidating. Your twists and ideas are unique and differing, like how you used Jorogumo and The Fates together; Japanese and Greek mythologies intermixed to work, which is such a creative and unique idea. Pandora starts of simple enough but after what she's been through, it was easy to see how she could be unused to her emotions which could be frantic and all over the place. I did not expect the twist at the end! Holy crap was I stunned but since you have a second book I'm so excited to start reading that. All in all, one of my favorite books so far I've read and I can't wait to get started in the next book soon."

Enthralling

"Pandora's Box is an enigmatic and suspenseful take on the fantasy genre. I very much appreciate the character development of the protagonist, Pandora, as she navigates the complexities of resurrection. The plot is written with distinct foreshadowing that adds a touch of mystery and intrigue to this fantastical realm of cynical gods and goddesses! Also, the character dialogue is often witty and offers comical relief. My only concern is the grammar, but it's nothing that renders your novel confusing and is easy to fix. Overall, this is an enthralling insight into the ancient legends of Greek mythology. Well done!"

Artistic

"Wow! I couldn't disagree more with some of the critics of your other reviews. Unless you have edited your work since their input? I enjoy mythology and personally would feel intimidated to base a story around such a premise, but what you've done is take an ancient fable and brought it into the modern-day. The story is imaginative, full of gorgeous description AND emotion. I wasn't bored one bit. I think you intended the story to unfold with the protagonist. We are confused as to what is going on when the main character is confused. We discover things through her eyes. Some sentences can be a little too embellished and long, but I think that is the style you are going for. Keep doing you!"

Unique plot

"I can see you did a lot of behind work to write this story. This is a unique plot and I was hooked immediately. The only thing is I haven't understood a single thing that you wrote on the first page. I mean I don' understand the link between that and the story. You might wanna explain it more simply for the readers to understand better. Overall all it's a good story and you did a better job at portraying it. Keep up the good work and enjoy writing😊"

Pandora's Box for Gemlight Book Awards Winter 2021

"a. Grammar: 7/10. Needs a little polishing to flow better. b. Pacing: 8/10. The pacing is pretty solid. c. Plotting: 7/10. It's an interesting concept, and I like the use of Greek mythology, though this story does take quite a bit of creative liberty with it. d. Characters: 8/10. The characters are pretty interesting, and I think Pandora has an interesting arc. e. Theme: 8/10. The themes of this story are interesting, and the author explores them well. f. Dialogue: 7/10. The dialogue is pretty natural and it spread out well. g. Prose: 6/10. The prose could use more descriptions. Overall Score: 72%. The use of Greek mythology is interesting, though somewhat inaccurate, as much of the mythology surrounding Pandora's box has been glossed over or left out here. I do think it's an interesting concept, however, to place a character from Greek mythology into a modern setting. The characters are good(Pandora's character arc is especially well done), and I think the pacing has been done well. The prose is lacking, being very bland and suffering from a lack of description. The grammar is good, but still needs a little bit of polishing where sentences could be shortened or need to be rewritten with better flow. With a good bit of editing, I think this book has potential, but it is a long way from perfect."

MVP Awards Review

"Firstly, I must mention that the cover is artistic and it describes Pandora's appearance beautifully. You have a unique plot—post the original Pandora's Box—and I like how your extraordinary character is thrown in an ordinary world that later bombards her with unexpected incidents. The world building is good, and Pandora's feelings would've been delivered clearly if not for the redundancy. The repetitive usage of words and expressions diverted my attention from the events even though they were thrilling and full of action. The story can benefit from editing, and not just in correcting mistakes, but also in being nitpicky about each word you use. Don't give up, and keep writing! :)"

3-4/5 ⭐️

"I just want to start out by saying that this cover is amazing. If I was browsing for books, I'd definitely pick this one. Your plot is also very unique- I don't think I've ever seen anything like it on Inkitt before. However, I don't think you can convey emotions very well through your writing. I felt myself getting bored pretty quickly, and I felt like the emotions Pandora was feeling were fake. Fuzzy. Kind of like I was reading the story without my glasses on in the rain kinda fuzzy. The dialogue was the same in terms of that withdrawn feeling I experienced. All in all, I feel like the idea of the story was amazing, just the execution of it that was not."
