What is your opinion?
I recommend this book if you like sci-fi .
"I am only about a chapter in but It has kept me reading and reading.. I can't wait to see how this turns out and I love how the author is writing from a first person view because it gives you a more detailed view of how the character is feeling."
Distant Lands
"I love the narration, quite an excellent effort to expand the storyline. However, I didn't fully complete it. I am impressed with the chapters I read so far. Brilliant effort!"
Distant lands
"Very interesting - main character is very frustrating at times - I liked the boom overall except the last 2 chapters...look forward to part 2 ..well done 😊"
Page turner!
"I completely loved the story- the way it is written, the characters, and the plot. I was so into it that I just couldn't stop reading and going forward with the chapters. This book has the potential to become one of the best!!! Kuddos author!! Enjoyed it!"
Distant Lands
"Distant Lands is a must-read for all fellow sci-fi lovers. The author does a brilliant job at throwing you into a new world with so many different moving parts without making you feel overwhelmed or bored by exposition dumps. There's a lot of 'showing' and very little 'telling' which is something that most new to intermediate authors struggle with. I think you've done great there! All the characters are quite likable and those that aren't are clearly written that way purposefully. Even though we see the world through Liz's eyes, the author does occasionally switch POVs to the other side/main characters. Usually, I'm not a fan of this but it's done in this novel really well because it actually serves the purpose to build the world and characters. As far as I have read, I think Liz has gotten the most attention (as she should at the beginning of the novel) and she is very relatable with struggles of her own and an interesting dynamic that I will not spoil... As for the nitpicks, The initial chapters fluctuate in terms of engagement, There are some chapters where I'd love to know more and others where I lose interest halfway through. But I think It's definitely binge-worthy once you get past the first 3 or 4 chapters. I think the greatest strength of this novel (as far as I have read) is the worldbuilding, the plot, and the clever use of the author's writing style to convey emotion, symbolism, and organic/fluid dialogue. I'm interested to read more and immerse myself in this world I've only dipped my toes in! The reaper sends his regards..."

"When I first started reading this book I wasn't too sure I would like it. It seemed to be going a a slow pace but a few chapters in and I was hooked. Its a great fantasy book well worth a read. I'm glad it was suggested to me. "
Impressive story!
"From beginning to end, this story is exciting, fast paced, and keeps you guessing just what the heck is going on. It seems trouble follows the MC constantly. Your writing style is impressive. I am happy to have read a work with hardly any grammatical, spelling errors, or others. Your technique to describe the characters, the bad people or aliens, and the shift of the worlds is beautiful. You go from one part of the story being normal, to the other part of the story that redefines what you thought was strange. How does one react to ending up in another planet? You describe it perfectly in each chapter along with everything that happens. Blood sucking aliens was a bit weird for me, but I like how you took that to the next level and defined something new for the genre. I have never heard of such beings with that ability. And towards the end, we find out that there is a part 2 to this story. Way to leave us in suspense! I myself speak fluent Spanish and believe your story would read better if you add in the actual Spanish dialogue. It doesn't matter which region you choose, so long as you caption the translation. I think it would be more fun for readers. I greatly enjoyed your story. Though, it was a lengthy read, but it was worth it. I am happy we swapped stories. Have you ever thought about self-publishing this story or submitting it to an actual book publisher? Give it a shot! I recommend others to check out this story."
AWESOME STORY!
"Your descriptions in the scenes are phenomenal! You describe what goes on so well, and it's effortless to read. I didn't come across many errors at all. Your story is intriguing and very attention grabbing from the first chapter. Very well done! I love that she wanted to go travel, and working a job that seems like a dead end to achieve your dreams is relatable. The feelings she has for Nate are nice, and they shared a nice moment. They have a genuine friendship, and I love it! I love that she wanted to go travel and see the world instead of staying around to develop a relationship! This story is well written and I would recommend it to anyone! Love it! Can't wait to read more!"
Distant Lands
"I really loved the story, I felt like I was actually there, I liked how you were able to weave in two different worlds together and make it sound plausible. It was an amazing read, and I would highly recommend"
Rad as hell
"I read this multiple times and still doesn't get old. The plot was perfect, the writing style was immersive, and there were little to no mistakes in spelling or grammar. It was a perfect story and I think that anyone can get into it. So if you are a reader and you just want to sit on your couch for a couple of hours then I suggest highly that you read this book."
Fun Read
"You have an interesting writing style. It feels strangely unusual yet fascinating at the same time. I honestly couldn't get enough of it and enjoyed reading you book quite a lot. That accompanied by you great plot had me fascinated for quite a while. I like how you left the discriptions so methodic. It was easy to imagine and allowed me to paint a picture in my head. I found the main character quite fascinating. The mc had a humourous yet balanced thought process that I really enjoyed reading about. Overall, it's a great book and I had a blast reading it."
Distant Lands
"To begin with, I liked the writing style very much, it's clear and portrays the events very methodically. The tension building was amazing and to know that the main protagonist had a normal, easy going life before she was thrust into an unknown world added that extra element into her struggle. My feelings changed for the characters as I proceeded through the chapters and that's the magic of character driven stories, you get to see how the main protagonist ended up in this distant land after all. As I said, for me the pace was exactly how I prefer to read, nor very slow neither too fast. All in all, it's very intriguing and delightful read. I will surely keep reading more of it. Keep up the good work!"
Hookedddddd
"This story is very interesting, because it's very different. Excited to see how it will all tie in at the end."
A fun read
"well-written, engaging, great plot development and pacing...a thoroughly engrossing fantasy read."
Keeps you turning pages
"I am about six chapters in and I find that this book is going places. The hints at romance and the building suspense keep you turning the pages, This book will keep readers up late into the night. Good job. On a personal note, and it only something I would do is that when using foreign languages (which I think is great) I italicize those sentences and do not put the translation in brackets or create a setting where they use the language once or twice, and they say: She/he replied in Spanish or something like that. Other than that I am not an editor, so I cannot really fault the grammar. Keep going, we want to see more!"
Beautifully Written
"This story is very detailed and shows a lot of depth in the characters. Descriptions are detailed and beautifully written, and the plot keeps you wanting more. I very much enjoyed reading this story, great job."
Nice
"I like this book. It is very interesting and the plot is good. These are not really the books I would normally read but I enjoyed this one. And before you ask, I had already started reading this before you asked to do a review swap so I have finished it. Ty"
Preliminary Review: It's the small details that make this story great
"Writing a review based on only four chapters of a fifty-plus-chapter-long book is no easy task, but still, even so early into this book there are elements that hint at the potential greatness the story has to offer: The plot: A woman who wants to travel around the world somehow ends up leaving Earth and wanting to come back. It seems much too simple at first, yet the author skillfully manages to plant the seed in the reader's mind: how does this story reach that point? They manage to do this by means of a very slow start. They let the reader's mind ponder the possible answers to that question in their heads, and that in turn makes the book into a real page-turner. The writing style: The author manages to convey the feelings of the protagonist in a masterful manner. I would say that the story seems to be a bit too centred on her, which under normal circumstances I wouldn't like, but Sonia cleverly chooses to use the first person POV in the narration. This dispels any possible feeling of disapproval because of the lack of insight into the other characters: after all the protagonist isn't *forced* to know how the characters around her feel. The details: As an Argentinean, I love the fact that the author chose to actually include Spanish dialogues in the story, as well as an accurate English translation for non-Spanish speakers. My only problem with it is that, at least for me, some of the Spanish dialogues feel as though the characters who speak Spanish in the story are foreigners who are competent speakers of a non-native language rather than native speakers. The dialogues sometimes don't feel natural enough for me to perceive them as the speech of a native speaker, but perhaps that's just me since Argentinean Spanish does differ from that of most other countries. In the details I should also mention the masterful selection of names for the characters of Latin ascendance, as well as the cultural references scattered throughout the chapters. It all contributes to make the story more colourful, more vibrant and more realistic. If I had to point out something I don't particularly like, is that the first romantic scene in the book feels a bit too clichéd, but that's just me being nitpicky about a personal preference of mine, so I can't really say resorting to clichés is a "wrong" thing to do. Besides, sometimes it takes a good cliché to make a good story. So all in all, a very enjoyable read so far. Keep up the great work!"
In love
"Just from the first chapter, I can tell this is a good book. Your writing style is beautiful and you describe everything so beautifully. Making it easy to understand what the character is thinking and feeling. I love the way from the start we get hints of her heritage, family and the plot building up. You definitely have a talent!! Keep going!"
Amazing
"You did such a good job with this story, I seriously enjoyed it. it took me some time to finish since it has more chapters than I usually read but now I get why its a little slow at first. You did a great job, I love the way you write, bravo :)"
