Amazing Story!
"Luminous is storytelling as its best. The writer's use of exposition and dialogue to push the story was exceptional. Meya is a beautifully written character, so well written I felt the hurt she felt, especially with being the black sheep and all. The tale's got a bitter-sweet feeling, 5 chapters in and I'm wiping my eyes, especially that scene with her father. The hurt she felt when he said those things, I felt it and that is an amazing skill. There's a curiosity to know why Meya is green-eyed and what the future holds for her, and what her new life at the Hadden castle will amount to. As upset as I got with Mirram Hild, I loved his POV, it was sarcastic and very enjoyable to read. There's a lot I want to say, but I'd rather go to the comment sections in the story to dish 🥰 There's a symbolism I really liked and that's the categories with Marin topping it and Meya at the very bottom, and how te Hilds' names start with an 'M'. The setting and premise are so well done, down to the vivid relationship Meya had with all her siblings and her parents. A masterpiece, this one."

"Luminous is a book that fans of fantasy won't want to miss! First, the cover of this book is stunning. I love the style and the aesthetic. It fits Luminous perfectly. The action is plentiful and well written, and the imagery the author has created is vivid and detailed. Meya is the type of main character that a reader wants to be. Despite her status as something of an outcast, she's witty, brave, and funny. The writing is gorgeous, but at times I felt that the tone shifted from formal to informal language, pulling me out of the story a bit. For example, I'm not sure that words like "weirdo" and "hunk" belong with more formal language like "betrothed." I don't think all fantasy novels need to be written using old-timey dialect, but I do think it's important to be consistent with formality choice. Grammatically, there are some errors and issues with sentence structure. Both this and the formality of the language can be easily fixed when editing. The dialogue gives the reader great insight into who the characters are. The author does a wonderful job of showing instead of telling; however, at times, I wished the dialogue was more snappy and fast paced. Overall, this book has been so much fun to read, and I think that any fantasy fan would agree. "

"Uwah, this story is sooo well introduced. Some stories feel like a chore to read, but not yours, not at all. This first chapter left me extremely curious of the next chapters to come. All of the characters we've seen so far *act* like people- I mean that to say they are fluidly written. I don't see any stiffness or awkwardness that breaks my immersion of the story, and for that, I applaud you, Author! Then, of course, there are the visual descriptions... Fantastic! When we are introduced to that green-eyed reptilian creature, I could feel myself physically sitting up as the imagery flooded my head. I could picture it all- The fear in the group's faces, the roar of rage... Wonderful! You have an excellent first chapter, Author, and I can't wait to read even more!"

The descriptions are vivid and the emotions depicted are strong enough for you to feel connected to Meya as soon as she is in the scene. There is deepness and meaning for each character's actions and feelings. I'm looking forward to see where this story might lead, but I've been enjoying reading it so far. I've felt inspired by this author to improve my own work. It's good to come across this level of writing. I'm loving it!"

"Beautifully written story. I really loved how quickly I was drawn into the world and the characters' lives. I especially enjoyed the balance between description, narration, dialogue, etc., as this really contributed to the pacing and development of the story and its characters. I also loved how creative the story is (plot, setting, character personalities, etc.); it always kept me on my toes a bit and left me wanting more. My only critical feedback is that the narrative would occasionally shift from past to present tense, but the rest of it was incredibly well done. Overall, I really loved this story and would definitely reccomend it to anyone looking for a good fantasy/high fantasy novel."

"Luminous makes a perfect story. Once I started reading I was dying to read more! The writing is perfect. I could see no mistakes, none at all. Each character the reader encounters has its own aura of personality. This book makes the perfect amount of comedy and adventure, along with a background in fantasy. The ideas here are so creative there're probably on a different scale! The way you make it so that readers slowly learn about this world makes me imagine the world in real life. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm glad I found it!"
