"So, to be honest, I'm more of a fantasy book reader so I was quite pushing the moment I would go and read this one despite knowing from the resume of it that it would just be awesome. What can I say ? This book does not disappoint! I just finished chapter five and I'm so in love with this story so far. The characters are all so endearing, the dialogues so real and the story flows at a rhythm that just transports and make you stick to it. I'm so amazed by the way you bring knowledge in your book, making it a culture nest full of references. The back stories give so much depth to the actual characters and what can I say, I loved everything. The author's writing style is neat, easy to follow and I just couldn't find any problems with her technical writing skills. This is maybe the first book I'm reading with that much work on editing and I don't even know if it's edited yet so wow, you got it right! If I have one small detail and advice to give to the author is to shorten her first chapter as it can be a little lengthy for readers, but that's on people's preferences! If I have something to say to any person scaling whether to read this book or not my advice is : READ IT. Because that would just be a great heart warming one filled with love and really well written. Good luck on the rest author, I will definitely stick around this book and finish it all to get to the other ones!"

"Alright, so I only read the first chapter but the book looks good. Some things that I liked: 1. The writing style, it was easy to follow and read. 2. The lovely characters, and the bond that is obviously shown between the husband and wife. 3. The general pleasantness that is felt. That is, it gives you that warm feeling of snuggling up with a cup of cocoa on a cold day. Some things that I think could be improved: 1. A different book cover. It seems a little bland and doesn't really draw you in. 2. A faster start to the story, to draw you in, but at the same time, this helps set the background and gives you, as I mentioned above, a feeling of homeliness. You've got to find that balance. 3. Shorter chapters, or at least, a shorter first chapter. It just seems to keep going on and on, making you half feel like you need a break."

"The plot is a very simple one that is really relatable. I love the relationship between P&J. It is the very epitome of a healthy relationship and totally couple goals. The only critique that I would offer aside from a few minor grammatical errors is more personal choice than anything. The imagery is fairly vague and subtle which works for keeping the flow of the story going, but can be a bit of a hindrance in allowing a reader to become fully immersed in the story. For example, saying that all the houses were identical is great but doesn't really paint a picture for me. I like to see things in my mind and I wasn't able to do that as much with this story as I liked. Other than that, this is a great read and I'm loving it thus far."

"AS you'll have read many of the other reviews, there all pretty much accurate. I (more or less) lived this type of a life, the ups & downs, the friends changing directions and god only knew what rabbit the kids would pull out of their hat... needless to point out how the worlds pressures changed things faster than the oceans tides.. This is a good description of a real romance and love.. where things can and do change on a dime. A very clean well written story."

"I read the first four chapters and was pretty amazed at just how well it had been written and how I immediately felt connected to J&P. You did a great job showing their personalities & flaws. I liked that the writing flowed well, and that helped to really ground me into the story. There were a few grammar issues, but nothing outlandish. I am definitely going to be coming back to this book & think others should too!"

"This story is amazing so far. The characters right off the back are unique in their own way and just jump off the page. The dialogue is über realistic and feels as if they really are talking, their voices well developed. I like how you chose two characters of different backgrounds and different religious upbringings and how their differences bring them closer together and stronger as a couple rather than an argument. Quite like on Friends how Chandler not celebrating Thanksgiving but also celebrating Christmas and Monica being Jewish, but they still work and celebrate things together in their own way. Everything about this feels real, like it really happened or is unfolding like a television show before the reader's eyes. There were a few minor errors but nothing too bad. I'll definitely be reading more, you're a talented author. Keep writing!"

"Overall, I think the plot is creative. Your use of detail is excellent and gives the reader a clear picture in their mind. I love how you had two characters of two different religious backgrounds because I don't see that very often in stories here on Inkitt. But it wasn't the fact that you included them that I particularly enjoyed, it's how you incorporated them into the characters' development in their relationship. You showed that it doesn't matter if the two individuals in a relationship come from two different religious backgrounds as long as they respect each other's beliefs. Not only did you do that, but you also showed that you don't have to follow your family's beliefs, which I think is important as well. In addition, I enjoyed how accurate you made Joseph's reaction to Prosephone's pregnancy. My only complaint is grammar, but that's an easy fix. Overall, excellent job!"

"Overall loved the story, the plot is super creative and kept my attention at the peaks. The relationship between Joseph and Persephone was very enchanting. The writing style is also a great combination of scenery and action, is one that doesn't feel too long or short, can say it's a perfect description. All characters are well designed and I felt as if I was experiencing this in reality. Very well done, I look forward to reading more stories of yours."

"Sofia Corsi review: The Social Misfit Sofia, you have a wonderful story in play, and I love your voice. The banter between Joseph and Persephone is entertaining and realistic. The characters who surround them are well placed and have loads of potential for drama, tension and resolution, which is what helps us relate to a story. Introducing stress and conflict, building it, and then resolving it is what makes readers cheer for our characters. Your story is wide open for this. This could be a great series as you develop your characters and their individual challenges and victories. Especially since the babies have just been born. I noticed a few items that may be elements of your personal style, but as the reader, it sort of, stopped the flow. “Why?” she sighed. She had just warm and comfortable…(this sentence felt like it needed a verb or something). Like: ‘She had just (gotten, become, begun to feel) warm and comfortable…’ Also, “It was a lot of people would call mousy brown…’ (I received a lot of comments on passive voice a few years back, so I’ll pass that along here… You might consider avoiding ‘was’ anytime you can. The sentence works well without it, “A lot of people would call her hair mousy brown.” To sum up the review, I love the addition of the triplets, and I expect that the little girl may ultimately be the ‘Misfit’ in the title. I can feel myself getting connected to these characters, you’ve done a great job of developing them. I look forward to seeing how it ends. Best of luck."

"Gosh Sofia, this is such a cute story. The relationship between Joseph and Persephone is so heartwarming. They really come across as kind, affectionate people, and the triplets surprise! What a charming, sweet little twist. I think characters are at the heart of a story, and you've really invested in them. I think small changes on the grammar and conveying your meaning more succinctly could really enhance your writing technique. Most importantly, your story makes a reader feel warm inside, and that's amazing. I'd say keep up the good work, and excited to see where your characters get upto next!"

"I have absolutely enjoyed the beginning chapters of Sofia Corsi's 'The Social Misfit.' I loved the slow, breezy development of the characters of Joseph and Persephone (Sephie!) I got a great feel for who they are as people, and what kind of parents they might be as the story switches from them being expecting parents to actually parents. Being a parent myself, and all those thoughts and worries that go through your head as you prepare for the baby on the way, I felt that this story has so far captured those feelings quite well. Picking the right name for the baby, wondering how you'll be as a parent to a boy or a girl, it's all there, and it adds a lovely layer to the story. Apart from a few little technical hiccups (nothing story-breaking at all) I was thoroughly engaged with 'The Social Misfit' and can't wait to read more. Thank you for sharing it, Sofia!"

"This is a great story to read over a hot cup of coffee. Your characters are brought to life through their actions and dialogues. I felt a heartwarming nature throughout the entirety of your story. I like how you go into detail for the religions. I have Jewish friends and completely understand why they do certain things. I also don't eat pork. Your first chapter felt very long as your other chapters are smaller in size. I felt like I was watching a Netflix series when Joseph and Persephone engaged with each other. Overall, great read!"
